The Ariel Atom 4RR is available to order as a built-to-order, track-focused but road-legal sports car. Ariel Motor Company lists a starting price of £208,000 plus taxes and describes production as extremely limited; that does not confirm a current build slot, delivery date or live inventory. The company quotes 525bhp, 550Nm and a sub-700kg weight, but has not published an exact weight in its launch announcement.
Is the Ariel Atom 4RR available to order?
Yes. Ariel’s 9 April 2026 launch announcement says the Atom 4RR is built strictly to order in extremely limited numbers. “Available” here means buyers can enquire about ordering, not that a finished car is in stock or that an immediate build slot or delivery date is guaranteed. Ask Ariel to confirm allocation and lead time.
Ariel’s earlier 3 July 2025 announcement said production would be limited to a maximum of 25 examples. The later launch announcement does not repeat that number, so 25 should be treated as the original plan rather than a confirmed final cap. Ariel’s 2026 Atom 4RR launch announcement and its 2025 announcement are the company’s published statements.
How much does the Ariel Atom 4RR cost?
Ariel lists the 4RR from £208,000 plus taxes. This is a starting price, not a complete drive-away figure: the launch announcement does not itemize taxes by market, delivery charges or option prices. Ask Ariel for a quotation covering the car’s specification, destination and applicable taxes before comparing it with other vehicles.

How fast and powerful is the Atom 4RR?
Ariel quotes 525bhp, 550Nm of torque and an 8,200rpm limit for the 2.0-litre engine. Its claimed acceleration is 0–62mph in 2.4 seconds and 0–100mph in 5.1 seconds. Ariel also describes the car as weighing less than 700kg and producing more than 780bhp per tonne, but does not give an exact weight in the launch announcement. These are manufacturer figures, not independently tested results.
Three driver-selectable engine maps are specified: Map 1 delivers 400bhp and 380Nm, Map 2 500bhp and 450Nm, and Map 3 525bhp and 550Nm. Ariel says the maps can be adjusted from the cockpit.

Engine and transmission
The bespoke engine is based on Honda’s 2.0-litre K20C Type R unit. Ariel says each engine takes more than 100 hours to build by hand and describes forged pistons and connecting rods, revised cylinder-head and port geometry, bespoke camshafts, upgraded valves, race-spec oiling, a larger turbocharger, high-pressure fuel delivery and 1,400cc injectors. The company says engines are run in and dyno-tested before final calibration, with an individual dyno graph supplied for each one. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent reliability findings.
Power goes through a Quaife six-speed sequential gearbox with pneumatic paddle shift. Ariel says it allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts, with automatic throttle blipping on downshifts; the lightweight clutch is used to pull away.

Track hardware, brakes and tyres
The 4RR is based on the Atom 4R platform, but Ariel positions it as the most track-focused Atom: track-biased while remaining road-capable. Its listed hardware includes a fully bronze-welded motorsport-optimised structure, Öhlins twin-tube dampers adjustable for compression and rebound, machined aluminium uprights, and adjustable chromoly wishbones and pushrods. Ariel describes the chassis as stronger than earlier Atom generations but does not publish a comparative strength test.
Braking equipment comprises AP Racing 310mm two-piece ventilated discs, four-piston motorsport calipers and race-spec pads. The cockpit-adjustable motorsport ABS has 11 settings plus off. The announcement does not provide independent stopping-distance or durability results.

Ariel lists forged wheels measuring 7Jx16 at the front and 9Jx17 at the rear, with road-legal Yokohama A052 tyres in 195/50R16 front and 255/40R17 rear sizes. Carbon-fibre components include side pods, bodywork, mudguards and aerofoils. Check the car’s required fitment and load and speed ratings before considering a replacement tyre; the stated sizes alone do not establish that any other tyre is suitable.

Ariel calls the 4RR road-legal as well as track-focused. That is the manufacturer’s description; registration and approval requirements can vary by country, and the launch announcement does not spell them out for every market. Confirm local requirements with Ariel and the relevant registration authority before purchase.

The cockpit has a scrollable TFT display with lap timing and performance and delta metrics. Ariel says buyers may visit its Crewkerne factory during the build and may purchase driver training with the company’s chief test driver. Listed bespoke options include a plated differential, electronically controlled dampers, an approved motorsport roll cage and onboard air jacks. The announcement does not give option prices or establish that every option is available in every sales jurisdiction.
How the Atom 4RR fits the Atom range
Ariel describes the regular Atom as spanning road and track use, the 4R as balancing both with greater intensity, and the 4RR as track-biased but road-capable. The company’s 2025 announcement listed the Atom 4 at 320bhp and the 4R at 400bhp and 500Nm. Those figures provide limited context, not a current full comparison of price, specification or availability.
