What is the Angelelli Tipo 829?
The Tipo 829 is a sports-car project from Angelelli Automobili, not a new Lancia model. Its name recalls an internal project code associated with the 1970s Lancia Stratos HF, but that historical reference does not make the Tipo 829 a Stratos reissue or a Lancia revival. Motor1, syndicated by inkl, reported the three-version plan on 5 October 2026.
Angelelli announced the Terra on 3 October 2026 as a contemporary rally-car interpretation, emphasizing driver involvement, traction and performance across different surfaces. The company says the Terra programme is open to commissions, with highly limited production and extensive customization. The three-use framing is described by GPOne and Car Watch, alongside Motor1’s syndicated report. The descriptions indicate different setup priorities, not confirmed differences in lap times, acceleration, top speed, weight or final engine output.
What has Angelelli said about the Terra’s engine?
The manufacturer’s 3 October 2026 post states: “500 hp. Six cylinders. 3.2 litres.” The figures refer to the Terra announcement and should be treated as Angelelli’s claims, not independently verified test data. GPOne and Car Watch also report a 3.2-litre engine and power around 500 CV. Motor1’s syndicated article gives a different displacement figure, so the discrepancy is unresolved; 3.2 litres is the figure stated by the manufacturer, rather than a settled independent specification.
