What is the hypercar with a stick shift?
It is the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution LF, specified by customer Louis Florey. Hennessey describes the car as a 1-of-1 commission, not a standard production trim. Its defining feature is an all-new gated six-speed manual transmission, bringing a traditional stick shift to a bespoke version of the company’s extreme-performance F5.
Hennessey’s August 15, 2025 announcement calls the LF its most expensive, most complex, and highest-spec F5 to date. That is a claim about the F5 lineup—not proof that it is definitively the most expensive hypercar across all American makers.
What does it cost?
Hennessey did not publish a dollar price in its announcement. Autoevolution reported a price of $3 million on August 15, 2025, so that figure should be treated as a reported price, not an officially disclosed one. The same publication framed the LF as America’s most expensive hypercar; the available information does not establish a comprehensive comparison behind that broader ranking.

What is under the bodywork?
Engine and stated output
Hennessey lists a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 2,031 bhp. That is the manufacturer’s stated output, not an independently verified test result.
Track-focused, open-top specification
The LF combines an open-top F5 with the track-spec Revolution configuration and an Evolution package. Hennessey also describes a new carbon-fiber tub, along with aerodynamic, suspension, and comfort enhancements. The announcement presents those details as part of this bespoke commission rather than a specification sheet for a generally available model.

How certain is the “most expensive” claim?
The scope matters. Hennessey supports the narrower statement that the LF is the most expensive F5 to date, without stating its price. The $3 million amount and the wider “America’s most expensive hypercar” framing are reported by Autoevolution. Neither the manufacturer announcement nor that reported figure, by itself, establishes a market-wide ranking across American-built or US-market hypercars.
Hennessey later published a video page dated April 15, 2026 describing founder John Hennessey driving the car. That page is a manufacturer presentation, not independent performance testing.
