A 24-year-old woman was trapped after her Suzuki Swift left Graceful Boulevard in Alkimos and went through a fence into a ditch, according to a PerthNow report published on 30 December 2022. Firefighters cut her free. The report said she was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries and was stable at that time.
What happened in the Alkimos crash?
PerthNow reported that police said the woman was driving west on Graceful Boulevard at about 10 p.m. overnight when the car left the road, passed through a fence and entered a ditch. The report does not separately specify the calendar date of the crash.
The driver was trapped in the car. Firefighters cut her free, and police and firefighters carried her from the ditch on a stretcher.
What was reported about the driver’s injuries?
The report said the woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries and was in a stable condition at the time. It provides no later medical update, so her subsequent condition is not established by that report.

What is known about the cause?
PerthNow attributed the account of the car leaving the road to police, but did not state what caused the driver to lose control. The report said police inquiries into the cause were continuing. It does not establish speed, impairment, distraction, road conditions or fault.
