Its defining change is a bespoke carbon-fiber aerodynamic package that the automaker says produces about 140 kg of downforce at 300 km/h.
What is the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa?
The Luna Rossa is the first creation of Alfa Romeo’s partnership with Luna Rossa, the Italian sailing team. Alfa Romeo describes it as “the most extreme Giulia Quadrifoglio ever created”—a manufacturer characterization, not an independent performance assessment. The edition is a worldwide series of ten cars. Alfa Romeo’s January 9, 2026 announcement says all ten were sold; Alfa Romeo Italy’s model page likewise lists the series as sold out and orders as closed.
What makes the Luna Rossa different?
Carbon-fiber aerodynamics
The edition’s most substantial engineering distinction is its low-drag carbon-fiber aero package. It includes appendages on the front bumper, underbody profiles, side skirts and a dual-profile rear wing inspired by the foils of Luna Rossa’s AC75 sailing yacht. Alfa Romeo claims the package generates approximately 140 kg of downforce at 300 km/h—nearly five times the production Giulia Quadrifoglio’s downforce. Those are the manufacturer’s figures; they have not been independently tested here.
Powertrain
Alfa Romeo specifies a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 rated at 520 hp, paired with a mechanical self-locking differential. The official announcement does not describe a power increase over the production Giulia Quadrifoglio, so the edition’s documented distinction is its aero package and bespoke details rather than a claimed engine upgrade.

Exterior and cabin details
The exterior combines an iridescent finish inspired by Luna Rossa’s hull with a black-and-grey two-tone treatment. Red-background Alfa Romeo badges, bespoke red-finished 19-inch wheels and visible carbon fiber on the roof, front shield and mirror caps complete the look.
Inside, personalized Sparco seats carry graphics inspired by the crew’s personal flotation devices. The dashboard insert incorporates material from Luna Rossa sails, giving the partnership a physical presence in the cabin rather than limiting it to exterior branding.

How it is built
Alfa Romeo says each car begins as a Giulia Quadrifoglio built at its Cassino plant and is then transformed through an artisanal process with Italian specialist partners.
Can you still buy one?
No new Luna Rossa orders are available through Alfa Romeo: the manufacturer reports that all ten cars have sold and its Italian model page says orders are closed. The published information does not establish whether a particular dealer or private seller has one available, so any resale availability would need to be checked directly.

What fuel-consumption and emissions figures are published?
Alfa Romeo Italy lists fuel consumption of 10.5 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions of 237 g/km. The page identifies these as preliminary WLTP values measured in pre-homologation testing; they may change before final homologation. Alfa Romeo also notes that real-world results vary with use and conditions. These should not be treated as final homologated figures.

The Luna Rossa is not the same edition as the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Collezione. Alfa Romeo lists Collezione separately as a 63-car global series, also sold out. Its Giulia version has a standard Akrapovič exhaust, while Luna Rossa’s defining documented feature is its partnership-inspired carbon-fiber aero package. The editions also differ in their stated production quantities and design stories.
