The 2025 Honda Accord already offers a choice of turbo and hybrid powertrains, a substantial suite of Honda Sensing driver-assistance features, and—on higher trims—large screens and premium comfort equipment. The wish list below is not a report of announced changes. It focuses on ways Honda could make useful technology and comfort features available more consistently across the U.S. lineup.
What the 2025 Accord already offers
Honda’s U.S. lineup spans LX and SE turbo models and Sport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid trims. Equipment varies by trim, so a feature that is missing from one version may already be available on another. Honda lists the 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder at 192 horsepower for LX and SE, and its two-motor hybrid system at 204 horsepower for hybrid trims. Those are Honda-published figures, not independent test results. Honda’s 2025 Accord model page and feature details provide the manufacturer’s specifications and equipment information.
The car also already includes a range of Honda Sensing functions, such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist with Traffic Jam Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking System, and Road Departure Mitigation. Honda describes Honda Sensing as “a suite of safety and assistance features designed to make driving easier and help protect you and your passengers.” That is Honda’s description of the system’s purpose, not independent proof of safety outcomes. Check the trim guide for the equipment included on a particular model.
1. Bring more premium comfort and visibility features to lower trims
What is already available
The head-up display, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, and rain-sensing wipers are listed for the Touring Hybrid. These are not absent from the Accord; they are concentrated on its top trim.

What we would change
Honda could offer a clearly defined comfort package on more trims, letting buyers add selected features without stepping up to the Touring Hybrid. Ventilated front seats would be useful in hot weather, while rear-seat heat and a heated steering wheel can make cold-weather trips more comfortable. A head-up display could help drivers check key information without looking down at the instrument panel.
The tradeoff
Adding equipment raises cost and can complicate trim ordering. A focused package would be more useful than bundling every premium item together, but Honda would need to keep the choices and controls straightforward.
2. Make the larger, more connected infotainment setup more consistent
What is already available
The LX and SE have a 7-inch display. Hybrid trims from Sport Hybrid upward have a 12.3-inch display and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alexa Built-in is listed on Sport Hybrid and above, while Google built-in is a Touring Hybrid feature.

What we would change
We would like the 12.3-inch screen and wireless phone integration to reach more of the lineup, or for Honda to provide a clearly priced upgrade path on the LX and SE. A larger, consistent interface would give buyers a more similar experience across trims and reduce the need to choose a hybrid solely to get the larger display.

The tradeoff
A bigger screen is not automatically a better interface. Honda should preserve physical controls for frequently used functions and keep phone pairing and built-in services easy to distinguish. Making premium connectivity standard could also push up the entry price.
3. Offer wireless phone charging on more trims
What is already available
Wireless phone charging is listed on specified hybrid trims, rather than as a feature across the whole Accord range.

What we would change
Honda could make a charging pad standard on more versions or include it in an affordable convenience package. For drivers whose phones support wireless charging, it can simplify everyday commutes by reducing cable clutter.
The tradeoff
Charging pads take up cabin space and do not suit every phone or driver. Honda should make the pad easy to reach and avoid making it a substitute for accessible USB charging.

What is already available
The Accord already lists numerous Honda Sensing features, including Forward Collision Warning, Automatic High Beams, Traffic Sign Recognition, a driver attention monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and Lane Keeping Assist with Traffic Jam Assist. What we would change
Rather than adding a new system just for the sake of a longer feature list, Honda could make the existing assistance easier to understand and more consistent across trims. Clear, timely dashboard messages about when a function is active, what it is responding to, and when the driver must take over would help make the technology less confusing in everyday traffic.
The tradeoff
More alerts can become distracting, and driver-assistance features do not replace attention or control by the person behind the wheel. Any refinement should improve useful feedback without encouraging drivers to rely on the systems as autonomous driving.

What is already available
The 2025 Accord gives buyers a choice between a 1.5-liter turbo engine rated by Honda at 192 horsepower in LX and SE trims, and a two-motor hybrid system rated at 204 horsepower on hybrid trims. The hybrid is already part of the range; a new powertrain is not necessary to make this wishlist meaningful.

What we would change
We would like Honda to make the hybrid experience easier to tailor by pairing it with a wider choice of comfort and convenience equipment. That could mean access to selected features such as wireless charging or upgraded seats without requiring buyers to move through a rigid sequence of trims. The goal is greater choice, not a claim that one powertrain is better for every driver.
The tradeoff
More combinations can make ordering harder and may affect price. Honda would need to balance flexibility against a lineup that remains easy to understand.
