The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE brings redesigned front-end details, updated powertrains and a new software-and-screen setup. Mercedes-Benz lists U.S. versions ranging from the 255-hp GLE 350 to the 530-hp GLE 580, plus a 603-hp AMG GLE 63 S. The company says the new GLE models are expected at U.S. dealerships during 2026; that is an announced timing, not a confirmed delivery date for any dealer.
What’s new on the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE?
Mercedes-Benz describes this as a broad update, reporting approximately 3,000 new or revised components. The most visible changes are redesigned headlamps with twin-star motifs, a larger radiator grille and an illuminated central Mercedes-Benz star framed in chrome. These are manufacturer descriptions, not an independent assessment of the design or its quality. Mercedes-Benz USA’s 2027 announcement and its newsroom release provide the U.S. details.

Inside, the U.S. announcement identifies the MBUX Superscreen as standard. It combines three 12.3-inch displays beneath one glass surface; Mercedes-Benz also cites updated trim and comfort details. Standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive and available AIRMATIC suspension are listed for the U.S. GLE. Equipment can differ by version and market, so confirm the specification for the vehicle being considered.

The GLE 580’s announced output rises from 510 to 530 hp, with torque increasing from 538 to 553 lb-ft, according to Mercedes-Benz USA. The AMG retains its stated 603 hp; its cited update specifies 627 lb-ft of torque, so the announcement does not support describing it as gaining horsepower. Mercedes-Benz lists available E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL for the GLE 580. Its U.S. announcement also gives a towing capacity of up to 7,700 lb with the specified equipment; verify the exact vehicle configuration before relying on that figure.
Mercedes-AMG gives the GLE 63 S a separate U.S. announcement and estimates its 0–60 mph time at 3.6 seconds. The company says it is expected at U.S. dealerships in fall 2026. See the AMG GLE 63 S announcement for the model-specific details.

What changes in the GLE’s technology?
Mercedes-Benz says its MB.OS operating system integrates vehicle functions and supports over-the-air software updates. The company also names MB.DRIVE as the driver-assistance family and describes available cloud-based damping that can adjust the suspension ahead of a road bump. These are announced capabilities; the cited material does not establish how they perform in real-world driving.

When will the 2027 GLE be available in the U.S.?
Mercedes-Benz USA says the new GLE SUV, GLE Coupe, AMG GLE 63 S SUV, and 53e Hybrid SUV and Coupe will arrive at U.S. dealerships during 2026. The AMG 63 S is given the narrower window of fall 2026. These are manufacturer-announced windows, not confirmed arrival dates for a particular dealer or buyer. The cited U.S. materials do not establish pricing.
A separate Mercedes-Benz Media announcement for another market describes ordering and market-specific specifications.
