Those are manufacturer-published EPA estimates, not independent road-test results or guaranteed real-world distances.
How much does the 2027 Kia EV3 cost?
Kia America’s August 12, 2026 U.S. pricing release lists the EV3 from $29,890 MSRP for the Light FWD to $45,890 for the GT AWD, before a $1,495 destination charge. Kia says its MSRPs exclude destination and handling, taxes, title, license, options and retailer charges; actual dealer prices may vary. Kia’s pricing release has the listed figures.

Prices are U.S. MSRPs announced by Kia in August 2026; range figures are Kia’s EPA estimates on its U.S. model page, accessed October 7, 2026. Kia’s 2027 EV3 model page lists range by configuration. The table makes the trade-off clear: the advertised starting price does not buy the maximum listed range, and the 321-mile configurations cost more than the Light.
Which EV3 trims have the longest range?
Kia lists 321 miles of EPA-estimated range for the Wind FWD and Land FWD. AWD versions are listed at 280 miles. The Light FWD range is not stated in the cited current model-page information, so the 321-mile claim should not be applied to the entry trim or to every EV3.

EPA estimates are useful for comparing configurations, but they do not promise a particular trip distance. Kia says range varies with options, driving conditions and habits, vehicle maintenance, charging practice, battery age, weather, temperature and vehicle condition. The available figures are Kia-published estimates; no independent real-world test result is established here.
What does Kia say about charging?
Kia says the EV3 has a native NACS charge port. Its pricing announcement estimates a DC fast charge from 10% to 80% at about 29 minutes for Light and about 31 minutes for Wind, Land, GT-Line AWD and GT AWD, using a 350 kW charger. Kia’s estimate assumes a battery temperature of about 72°F and specified equipment; actual charging times vary. What equipment changes by trim?
Equipment differs across the lineup, so a feature mentioned for the EV3 should not be assumed standard on every configuration. Kia describes the battery heater as standard and the heat pump as available on AWD models. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel and a 360-degree Surround View Monitor are among features Kia says are available. Verify the exact equipment on the trim and vehicle being quoted. Kia identifies the GT AWD as a 288-horsepower model. It is the highest-priced listed configuration, rather than the longest-range one: Kia lists 280 miles for AWD trims. Kia’s pricing announcement gives the GT AWD output and price.

The Kia-published figures support a specific, qualified answer: the EV3 has a $29,890 starting MSRP before destination, while the versions Kia lists at up to 321 EPA-estimated miles are the Wind FWD and Land FWD. That makes the EV3 a potentially accessible option with a long-range configuration, but these figures do not establish that it is the cheapest or best-value U.S. EV, prove customer demand, or show how it compares with rivals. Kia’s description of the vehicle as accessible is launch positioning, not evidence of what American buyers want or need. Its launch announcement quotes Kia America sales executive Eric Watson describing the EV3 as “a bold step forward in our commitment to making electric mobility accessible to more Americans.” That statement appeared in Kia’s launch context.
