The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport starts at $86,300 for the 1LT coupe, according to Chevrolet’s official model page. It pairs a naturally aspirated 6.7-liter LS6 V8 with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive; Chevrolet rates the engine at 535 hp and 520 lb-ft. The lineup includes 1LT, 2LT and 3LT trims, plus coupe and convertible body styles. Chevrolet’s published performance claims are 0–60 mph in 2.75 seconds and a 10.95-second quarter mile at 124 mph.

Chevrolet’s page also shows a vehicle “as shown” at $122,510. That is a configured example, not the starting price of the Grand Sport; the displayed price should not be treated as representative of a base car. Chevrolet notes that vehicles shown may be preproduction and that production models may vary.
Engine, transmission and performance
LS6 V8 specifications
The Grand Sport’s next-generation LS6 is a naturally aspirated 6.7-liter V8, also listed as 409 cubic inches. Chevrolet rates it at 535 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. The automaker describes that torque figure as the highest for a naturally aspirated production V8. The engine has a 13.0:1 compression ratio, a 103.25 mm bore and 100 mm stroke, an aluminum block with cast-in iron cylinder liners, and direct and port injection with Active Fuel Management.

Drivetrain and acceleration
Power goes through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to the rear wheels. Chevrolet reports 0–60 mph in 2.75 seconds and a quarter mile in 10.95 seconds at 124 mph. Those are manufacturer-published figures, not independent test results.
Fuel economy and capacity
Chevrolet lists EPA-estimated fuel economy of 15 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined, with an approximate fuel capacity of 18.5 gallons. These figures are manufacturer-published specifications; real-world consumption varies with conditions and driving.

Coupe, convertible and available performance setups
The Grand Sport is offered as a coupe or convertible. The coupe has a removable roof panel, while the convertible provides an open-top body configuration. Chevrolet’s launch specifications describe Magnetic Ride Control, Touring Suspension and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires as standard equipment.
Z52 Sport Performance Package
Chevrolet describes the Z52 Sport Performance Package as a step toward a more focused road setup, with a stiffer suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires and Z06-derived J56 iron brakes. Summer tires trade some cold-weather and wet-weather flexibility for a sport-oriented setup; assess tire choice against the climate and intended use.

Z52 Track Performance Package
The Z52 Track Performance Package adds carbon-ceramic J57 brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, track-focused chassis tuning and carbon-fiber aerodynamic components. Chevrolet lists a splitter, dive planes, rockers, wing and underbody strakes among the aero pieces. This is the most track-oriented configuration described in the launch material, and its tire, brake and aero changes distinguish it materially from the standard all-season-tire setup. Package names and availability can change, so confirm them in the live configurator before ordering.
Photos, colors and design details
Chevrolet’s official Grand Sport page includes a 21-image gallery and a 360-degree visualization/configurator. Chevrolet cautions that vehicles shown may be preproduction and production models may vary, so use gallery images as illustrations rather than proof that every depicted detail is standard or available on a specific trim.

The C8 Grand Sport’s rearward hash marks reference its rear-mounted mid-engine layout, according to Chevrolet. The launch material highlights Admiral Blue Metallic with white center stripes and red accents, Launch Edition Santorini Blue interiors, embossed headrests and distinct Grand Sport badging. Chevrolet traces the name to five C2 Grand Sport race cars in the early 1960s. It returned as a production model in 1996, followed by C6 Grand Sport models from 2010–2013 and C7 models from 2017–2019. Chevrolet describes the recurring formula as combining a base Corvette engine with wider bodywork and selected components from a higher-performance variant.

The 2027 C8 brings that name back with the LS6 V8, wide-body styling and available track-focused equipment. Chevrolet also announced a related Grand Sport X with an electric front axle and all-wheel drive. That is a separate model; the Grand Sport covered here is rear-wheel drive.
