The 2027 Aston Martin DBX GT is reported to pair the DBX S’s 717-hp V8 with suspension, transmission and cabin changes aimed at a more composed, comfortable drive. It is positioned alongside the sportier DBX S, while the DBX707 is expected to leave the lineup. Those details come from Car and Driver’s September 30, 2026 launch report; no primary Aston Martin announcement or DBX GT model page was available to independently confirm them.
What the 2027 Aston Martin DBX GT is
Car and Driver reports that Aston Martin has revealed the DBX GT for model year 2027 as a refinement-focused counterpart to the DBX S. The reported approach is not to reduce engine output, but to tune the vehicle’s ride, shifting, throttle response and cabin for a less overtly sporting character. The report also says the DBX707 will leave the lineup as the GT joins the DBX S.
That positioning is the key distinction: GT is presented as a different interpretation of the high-performance DBX, not as a lower-powered trim. The details below are launch-report claims rather than independently verified specifications or test results.
DBX GT vs DBX S: reported differences
| Area | 2027 DBX GT | DBX S |
|---|---|---|
| Engine output | 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8; 717 hp and 664 lb-ft, figures attributed to Aston Martin by Car and Driver. | Car and Driver says it shares the GT’s reported 717 hp and 664 lb-ft output. |
| Ride and suspension | Revised dampers and two longitudinal dampers between the body and rear subframe are reported to improve composure and comfort. | A complete side-by-side specification is not stated in the Car and Driver report. |
| Transmission and throttle | Retuned nine-speed automatic intended to shift more smoothly, revised throttle feel and a new transmission mount bushing. | A complete side-by-side specification is not stated in the Car and Driver report. |
| Cabin | Reported additions include extra seat cushioning, more sound insulation, acoustic laminated rear side glass and a standard panoramic roof. | A complete side-by-side specification is not stated in the Car and Driver report. |
| Exterior | Horizontal grille bars, body-colour lower trim, new 22-inch wheels and side-by-side quad exhaust outlets are reported. | A complete side-by-side specification is not stated in the Car and Driver report. |
| Price and timing | Official pricing is not stated; Car and Driver reports expected customer deliveries in Q4 2026. | A GT-versus-S price comparison and full availability details are not stated in the report. |
Power and performance claims
Car and Driver attributes the DBX GT’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 output of 717 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque to Aston Martin, and says those figures match the DBX S. The publication also attributes a 3.1-second 0–60 mph time and a 193 mph top speed to Aston Martin. These are reported manufacturer claims, not independent instrumented test results.

The available launch details therefore suggest that the GT’s character is meant to come from its calibration and added refinement rather than a power advantage over the S. The report gives no independent acceleration or top-speed measurements for either model.
What is intended to make the GT more comfortable
Chassis and shifting
The reported chassis changes include revised dampers and two longitudinal damping units linking the body and rear subframe. A retuned nine-speed automatic is described as smoother shifting, with a revised throttle calibration and a new transmission mount bushing also listed. Together, these changes point to a focus on reducing abruptness and improving composure, although the launch report does not quantify the ride difference or provide a back-to-back drive assessment.

Seats, noise and equipment
Car and Driver reports an additional 0.4 inch of memory-foam cushioning in the seats, more defined outboard rear seats, and seat embroidery. The cabin is also said to gain acoustic laminated rear side glass and extra sound deadening. Deep-pile floor mats, an anodized drive-mode dial and a standard panoramic roof round out the reported interior changes.
Exterior details
Reported exterior distinctions include horizontal grille bars, body-colour lower trim, new 22-inch wheels and quad exhaust outlets arranged side by side. Aston Martin is reported to describe the GT’s exhaust sound as a “cleaner, richer tone.” That characterization is the manufacturer’s quoted description, not an independently assessed sound comparison.

How the DBX GT relates to the DBX707
Car and Driver reports that the DBX707 will leave the 2027 lineup as the DBX GT and DBX S take the spotlight. The available material does not establish that the GT is simply a renamed DBX707 or provide a direct, complete specification comparison between them.
For predecessor context only, Aston Martin’s German-market DBX707 page lists a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 707 PS, along with three-chamber air suspension, electronically adjustable dampers, eARC stability control and a GT drive mode. Those are DBX707 page specifications and should not be treated as confirmed DBX GT equipment. The unit and market also differ from the GT figures reported in horsepower for the US-oriented launch coverage.

Price and availability
Car and Driver reports expected customer deliveries in Q4 2026. It says Aston Martin had not disclosed official pricing. The publication’s estimate of about $290,000 is an editorial expectation, not an announced MSRP, so it should not be treated as a confirmed price or assumed to apply in every market.
Regional pricing, order timing and final specifications remain unconfirmed in the available reporting. Buyers should check with an Aston Martin retailer for current local availability and configuration details.

What to confirm before buying
- Ask whether the car offered in your market is the DBX GT or DBX S, and confirm its final specification sheet.
- Request the local price, taxes, options and expected delivery timing; the launch report does not establish regional figures.
- Compare the actual GT and S equipment lists, particularly suspension, wheels and tires, cabin features and transmission calibration.
- If considering a car cover, verify fitment with an Aston Martin retailer. The 2025 US DBX accessories brochure lists tailored indoor, outdoor and ultimate covers, but does not establish compatibility with the 2027 DBX GT.
