What the $1,450 DPH charge means
Toyota’s website separates base MSRP from its Delivery, Processing and Handling charge. For the 2026 RAV4, Toyota’s current fleet pricing guide lists DPH at $1,450. Adding that amount is useful for comparing the advertised prices, but it still does not produce the final amount a buyer pays.
The DPH amount can vary in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. Buyers in those states should check the window sticker and purchase worksheet rather than assuming the national $1,450 figure applies.
The final transaction price can also include:
- Factory-installed options and packages.
- Port- or distributor-installed accessories.
- Dealer-installed accessories.
- Documentation and administrative fees.
- Sales tax, title, registration and license charges.
- Dealer discounts, financing conditions or markups.
Common 2026 RAV4 pricing misunderstandings
- $33,350 is not the base MSRP. It is the $31,900 Hybrid LE price after adding the current $1,450 DPH charge.
- $49,950 is not the GR SPORT’s base MSRP. The GR SPORT starts at $48,500; $49,950 includes DPH.
- Woodland is not plug-in-only. It is available as both a $39,900 regular hybrid and a $45,300 plug-in hybrid.
- GR SPORT is not a regular-hybrid grade. In the U.S. lineup, GR SPORT appears under the plug-in-hybrid models.
- AWD is not standard on every RAV4. FWD is standard on the regular-hybrid LE, SE and XLE Premium, with AWD available for $1,400. Every plug-in hybrid and the regular-hybrid Woodland, XSE and Limited has AWD standard.
Toyota previously publicized a $1,095 DPH figure for the 2026 RAV4, but its later pricing information lists the current charge as $1,450. The newer figure is the one used in the comparisons above.
