Toyota lists 457 hp and 790 Nm combined; Nissan lists 495 hp and 700 Nm in Sport Mode. These are manufacturer figures, not results from a standardized head-to-head test.
The comparison below uses Al-Futtaim Toyota’s UAE sheet for the 2026 Land Cruiser, based on information available in December 2025, and Nissan Middle East’s June 25, 2025 NISMO announcement. Model years and specifications may differ by country, so check the exact trim, stock and current price with a local dealer.
How do the Land Cruiser GR Sport and Patrol NISMO compare?

Because the figures come from different manufacturers and are not presented under a common test method, they describe each maker’s published specification rather than proving which vehicle is quicker, more efficient or better off-road. The Toyota price is a dated UAE listing, not a guarantee of today’s dealer price.
Which has more power?
Nissan lists the Patrol NISMO at 495 hp and 700 Nm in Sport Mode. Toyota lists 457 hp and 790 Nm as combined output for the 2026 UAE GR Sport’s V6 hybrid system. In other words, Nissan publishes the higher horsepower figure, while Toyota publishes the higher torque figure. The numbers are not a controlled, like-for-like test, and Toyota’s torque is explicitly a combined hybrid figure.

Nissan calls the NISMO’s output the highest for its VR35DDTT engine globally. That is Nissan’s claim, not an independently verified ranking. Neither source provides a comparable independent fuel-economy figure, so the Toyota’s hybrid label alone is not evidence of a particular fuel saving.
Which is better for off-road driving?
The Toyota’s published equipment points to a broad set of off-road controls: front and rear differential locks, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select and E-KDSS. Those are concrete features for shoppers to consider, but the available specifications do not establish how the Land Cruiser performs against the NISMO in sand, on trails or in a standardized test.

Nissan gives specific NISMO geometry figures: 195 mm minimum ground clearance, a 23° approach angle, 26° ramp angle and 25.5° departure angle. Its table also lists 244 mm and 27.5°/27°/27° for the standard Patrol; those higher numbers are not the NISMO’s. Nissan describes the NISMO’s suspension and steering as tuned for the trim, but that positioning is not independent evidence of superior off-road performance.
How many seats does each SUV have, and how large are they?
On the cited specifications, the Patrol NISMO seats eight and the Land Cruiser GR Sport seats seven. Nissan’s listed NISMO is also longer and wider: 5,295 mm long and 2,070 mm wide, compared with Toyota’s 4,990 mm and 1,990 mm. Their stated heights are close—1,945 mm for Nissan and 1,940 mm for Toyota.

Seat count and exterior dimensions do not establish how comfortable or spacious each cabin feels. If passenger capacity or child-seat fit matters, inspect the exact regional vehicle and try the seating configuration in person.
What is the price in the UAE?
Al-Futtaim Toyota’s sheet for the UAE 2026 Land Cruiser 3.5L V6 twin-turbo hybrid GR Sport lists AED 409,900. The sheet says the price includes VAT, excludes shipping and handling, may vary with colour, and is based on information available in December 2025 that is subject to change.

The cited Nissan Middle East NISMO announcement does not give a UAE price. A Saudi price is not a like-for-like substitute for a UAE quote, so ask a Nissan dealer for the current local price and confirm what is included. Do not treat the Toyota sheet’s AED 409,900 as a current offer without checking with Al-Futtaim Toyota.

- Consider the Land Cruiser GR Sport if the UAE-listed hybrid setup, Toyota’s stated combined torque, its named terrain-control equipment or a seven-seat configuration best fits your priorities.
- Consider the Patrol NISMO if you want the higher stated horsepower figure in Sport Mode, eight seats, NISMO styling or Nissan’s trim-specific suspension and steering tuning.
- Before choosing either, compare the exact local specification, warranty and service support, final dealer price, seating needs and a test drive. Published specifications do not answer questions about real-world comfort, noise, fuel use, towing or desert performance.
Nissan frames the NISMO as a region-developed performance model. Thierry Sabbagh, Nissan’s Divisional Vice President & President – Middle East, KSA, CIS – Nissan & INFINITI, described it as offering “the thrilling sensation of a sports car while maintaining the commanding presence of an SUV.” That is Nissan’s characterization of the vehicle, not independent comparative evidence.
