The seventh-generation redesign has a taller, boxier profile and a substantially updated cabin; trim-specific details such as Wilderness cladding, wheel finishes and Touring Nappa leather are easiest to compare using the gallery alongside Subaru’s trim and color information.
Where to see 2026 Subaru Outback interior pictures and exterior photos
Subaru’s official 2026 Outback page provides a photo gallery, a 360-degree exterior viewer and a 360-degree interior view. The page also links to specifications, trim information, build tools and local inventory. Use the still images to compare specific finishes and details, then rotate the 360 views to inspect the vehicle from angles a single photo may not show.
Subaru presents the 2026 model as an all-new seventh-generation redesign. The exterior is more upright and SUV-like than before, while Subaru describes the cabin as quieter and more spacious. Its world-premiere announcement calls the shape sturdy and says the interior is designed to feel functional and living-room-like, with colors and materials that vary by grade.
What to look for in the 2026 Outback dashboard
Dashboard pictures are useful for comparing a major shared feature: Subaru lists a 12.1-inch multimedia touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the redesigned Outback. The screen and digital cluster are standard across the trims listed in the 2026 brochure, so look at photographs for the cabin’s layout and trim-specific finishes rather than assuming the larger displays are limited to an upgrade package.

Subaru’s launch announcement also identifies upgraded EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. A gallery can show the displays and cabin arrangement, but it does not establish which driver-assistance functions are active in a particular driving situation; consult the trim specifications for equipment details.
How the trims differ in photos
The 2026 brochure lists Premium, Limited, Limited XT, Touring, Touring XT and Wilderness. The most useful comparisons are wheel size and finish, upholstery, off-road hardware, camera equipment and towing rating—not just the exterior paint. Subaru lists a 180-hp 2.5-liter engine for Premium and a 260-hp 2.4-liter turbo for XT versions; its stated 3,500-pound towing capacity applies to turbo and Wilderness applications.

| Trim | Details to look for in the gallery | Additional listed equipment |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | Entry-trim cabin and exterior details | 180-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, power rear gate, 12.1-inch multimedia system and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster |
| Limited | 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels and upgraded seats | Harman Kardon 12-speaker audio, power moonroof, rain-sensing wipers and Qi charging |
| Limited XT | 19-inch black alloy wheels | 260-hp 2.4-liter turbo engine, 3,500-pound towing capacity and 360-degree Surround View Monitor |
| Touring | Perforated Nappa leather and 18-inch black-machine-finish wheels | Heated and ventilated front seats, hands-free driver-assistance functions, 360-degree camera, auto-dimming smart rear-view mirror and power-folding exterior mirrors |
| Touring XT | Touring cabin details and 19-inch black wheels | Touring equipment plus 260-hp turbo engine, 3,500-pound towing capacity and 360-degree camera |
| Wilderness | Raised stance, cladding, anodized-copper accents and StarTex upholstery with copper stitching | 9.5 inches of ground clearance, electronically controlled dampers, Dual-Mode X-MODE, Harman Kardon audio and 3,500-pound towing capacity |
These equipment and capability figures are from Subaru of America’s 2026 brochure. Subaru’s April 16, 2025 launch announcement cited 8.7 inches of ground clearance for the standard Outback at reveal; the brochure’s 9.5-inch figure is specifically for Wilderness. Do not use the Wilderness clearance figure as the specification for every trim.
2026 Outback Wilderness images
Wilderness is the clearest visual contrast with the other trims. In exterior images, check the raised suspension, cladding and copper-colored accents; in interior views, look for StarTex upholstery with copper stitching. Subaru’s brochure lists Wilderness at 9.5 inches of ground clearance and specifies electronically controlled dampers and Dual-Mode X-MODE. Those details distinguish it from a standard Outback even when the two vehicles are shown in similar paint colors.

Touring and Touring XT interior pictures
For a luxury-focused comparison, look for the Touring and Touring XT’s perforated Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats and 18-inch black-machine-finish or 19-inch black wheels, respectively. The brochure names Java Brown Nappa and Slate Black Nappa among the interior choices. Touring also lists a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming smart rear-view mirror and power-folding exterior mirrors; Touring XT adds the turbo powertrain and the brochure’s 3,500-pound towing rating.

How to use the gallery to make a useful comparison
- Choose the trim first. Match the photo or 360-degree view to Premium, Limited, Limited XT, Touring, Touring XT or Wilderness; equipment and materials differ by grade.
- Compare exterior views at the same angle. Look at roofline, cladding, wheel design and finish, and lighting. The more upright redesign is easiest to judge in side and rear three-quarter views.
- Open the interior view. Inspect the dashboard screens, seat material and stitching, then compare cargo-area details where the available images show them.
- Check the brochure for specifications. Use the trim listing to verify items a photograph cannot establish, including ground clearance, towing rating, camera equipment and upholstery availability.
- Confirm the paint and trim combination. Subaru’s page links to trim information and build tools; check the selected configuration rather than treating the gallery’s color names as proof every combination is offered.
