The U.S.-market 2026 Lexus ES is an eighth-generation redesign offered as a gasoline-electric hybrid or a battery-electric vehicle (BEV). Lexus lists three versions: the ES 350h hybrid with front- or all-wheel drive, the front-wheel-drive ES 350e BEV, and the all-wheel-drive ES 500e BEV. Published starting MSRPs are $48,895 for the 350e Premium and $51,095 for the 350h Premium, including Lexus’s stated $1,395 delivery, processing and handling fee.
What is new for the 2026 Lexus ES?
This is the fully redesigned eighth generation of the ES, a model line Lexus says dates to 1989. The redesign uses a multi-pathway platform adapted for both hybrid and all-electric powertrains. Lexus first revealed the new generation in April 2025, then published later U.S. lineup and pricing information in March and May 2026. The current U.S. details below follow those later launch materials, rather than preliminary figures from the reveal.

Lexus describes the styling as inspired by its LF-ZC next-generation BEV concept. The company says the 2026 hybrid ES is 6.5 inches longer and 4.5 inches taller than the prior generation, with a 3.1-inch longer wheelbase and 2.2 inches more width. Lexus also reports 1.4 inches more rear legroom. These are Lexus comparisons with the previous generation, not independent measurements. Which 2026 ES powertrain and drivetrain choices are available?

Both BEV versions use a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery. Lexus’s 307-mile EPA-estimated range applies to the ES 350e only; it should not be assumed for the 500e. How to read the hybrid fuel-economy figures
Lexus lists the ES 350h at 244 hp in both drive layouts. Its EPA-estimated fuel economy is 46 mpg combined for FWD and 44 mpg combined for AWD. The corresponding city/highway estimates are 48/44 mpg for FWD and 47/42 mpg for AWD. These mpg figures describe the hybrid; they are not directly comparable to an EV’s miles-of-range figure.
What the EV charging figures mean
The BEVs have a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port for DC fast charging, Level One and Level Two AC charging, and an 11-kW onboard AC charger. Lexus estimates around 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% under ideal DC fast-charging conditions. Weather and other factors can affect both range and charging time, so that estimate is not a guaranteed stop time for every charger or trip. For home charging, a Level Two charger is one option; confirm vehicle, electrical-system and installation compatibility before choosing equipment.

The BEV range is offered in Premium and Luxury trims; the hybrid range is listed in Premium and Premium+ trims. These later prices supersede the lower preliminary figures on the original reveal page, which showed a $1,295 delivery charge. Verify current local pricing and inventory with a dealer. Lexus’s launch announcement and hybrid announcement list the later U.S. lineup.

What equipment does Lexus highlight?
Lexus lists a 14.0-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch driver Multi-Information Display across the range, along with Lexus Safety System+ 4.0. The company also says the 350h has heated and ventilated front seats. Equipment and packages differ by trim, so check the equipment list for the specific vehicle rather than assuming every feature is standard on every version.

- Consider the 350h if you want a gasoline-electric hybrid and prefer not to make plug-in charging part of your routine. Choose between FWD and AWD, noting Lexus’s lower EPA-estimated combined mpg for AWD.
- Consider the 350e if you want a BEV with FWD and the published 307-mile EPA-estimated range, and can plan charging around your home or public access.
- Consider the 500e if AWD is a requirement and you want an all-electric ES. Lexus’s cited U.S. launch materials do not state a range figure for this version, so do not use the 350e estimate as a substitute.
- Compare trims by their actual equipment and price: Premium and Luxury for the BEVs, Premium and Premium+ for the hybrid. Local dealer pricing and inventory can differ from published MSRP.
Lexus’s announcements establish specifications, estimated efficiency, charging provisions and list prices, but they do not establish independent acceleration results, real-world range, ride quality, owner experience or comparative value. Those questions require evidence beyond the manufacturer specifications presented here. U.S. prices and configurations also should not be assumed to apply in other markets.
