Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFor the U.S. 2026 model year, Kelley Blue Book lists the Land Rover Defender 90 in one trim: the V8, with a $116,250 base MSRP. That means KBB’s listed lineup has no lower-priced 2026 Defender 90 trim. Land Rover USA’s live configurator shows a different figure—$61,000—but does not identify it as a 2026 model-year price.
How much does the 2026 Defender 90 cost?
Kelley Blue Book lists a single U.S. 2026 Defender 90 configuration, the V8, at a base MSRP of $116,250. The figure is from KBB’s 2026 Defender 90 specifications and options page, accessed October 7, 2026. It is a listed base MSRP, not an out-the-door price or a dealer transaction quote.
KBB also reports 518 horsepower and a 0–60 mph time of 4.9 seconds for this 2026 model. Those are KBB’s published specifications, not independently verified test results.
Is the base Defender 90 gone?
In KBB’s 2026 U.S. lineup, yes: the only listed Defender 90 trim is the V8. The evidence supports saying that a lower-priced trim is absent from that listing; it does not establish when Land Rover removed one, or whether the automaker announced a specific discontinuation date. It also does not establish the reason.

There is no matched prior-year U.S. price and trim listing in the sources here, so the size of any year-over-year price increase cannot be confirmed. The $116,250 figure should not be described as a verified increase over a particular earlier model year.
Why does Land Rover’s site show $61,000?
Land Rover USA’s live Defender configurator currently displays a Defender 90 starting base MSRP of $61,000. The page says its displayed pricing is current, effective April 1, 2026, and subject to change; it does not clearly label the $61,000 figure as a 2026 model-year price. It therefore cannot be substituted for KBB’s 2026 listing.

Land Rover’s separate Defender models and specifications page is explicitly labeled 2027. The difference in model-year labeling is important: the live configurator’s current price and KBB’s 2026 trim listing describe different things, so combining them would give a misleading impression of the 2026 starting price.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the listed MSRP excludes
Land Rover USA says the configurator’s displayed base MSRP excludes a $1,950 Defender destination and handling charge, as well as taxes, title, license, retailer fees, and optional equipment. That exclusion applies to the configurator’s current displayed price; it does not turn the $61,000 figure into a confirmed 2026 model-year MSRP.
