Kawasaki’s 2026 US lineup includes the Z900 ABS and Z900 SE ABS, plus the supercharged Z H2 SE ABS—but the company’s October 7, 2025 model announcement does not name a separate new Z streetfighter. The Z900 is the 948cc supernaked option; the Z H2 SE is a distinct 998cc supercharged model. Here’s what Kawasaki has confirmed, with US and UK versions and prices kept separate.
Has Kawasaki announced a separate new streetfighter for 2026?
Not in the official US 2026 street-motorcycle announcement reviewed here. Kawasaki lists the Z900 ABS, Z900 SE ABS and Z H2 SE ABS among its street models; that confirms 2026 versions of those motorcycles, not a distinct additional streetfighter announcement. This conclusion is limited to Kawasaki’s official release and product pages, and does not establish that no other announcement exists elsewhere.
The announcement, dated October 7, 2025, said the 2026 models were expected at dealerships during fall. That was the schedule stated at announcement time, not confirmation of current inventory or availability at a particular dealer.

How do the Z900 and Z H2 SE differ?
Z900: the 948cc supernaked
Kawasaki’s US specification identifies a 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four. The Z900 ABS adds electronic rider support, a quick shifter and a TFT display; the SE trim adds upgraded suspension and front brakes. These are the relevant distinctions if the question is which 2026 Z model offers a high-performance naked-bike setup without the Z H2’s supercharger.
Z H2 SE: the supercharged alternative
The Z H2 SE ABS uses a 998cc balanced supercharged inline-four and higher-spec electronic suspension and braking equipment. It is a separate, more expensive model in Kawasaki’s lineup—not evidence that Kawasaki announced an entirely new streetfighter for 2026.

Does “powerful” mean the Z H2 is faster?
“Powerful” is not a specific measurement, and the official materials cited here do not provide comparable horsepower figures. The confirmed distinction is architectural: the Z900 has a naturally aspirated 948cc inline-four, while the Z H2 SE has a 998cc supercharged inline-four. Displacement and engine type alone do not establish real-world acceleration or prove which bike is superior. A reliable power ranking would require comparable manufacturer output figures or independent testing.

Kawasaki UK describes the 2026 Z900 Performance as a 948cc supernaked with revised suspension settings and model accessories. Its page lists voice control and turn-by-turn navigation through Rideology, but says a license is required and feature availability varies by market. The same page lists accessories including a tank pad, dashboard screen protector and large smoke meter cover. Check the exact model year, trim and motorcycle fitment before buying an accessory; the listing does not establish compatibility with every Z900 variant.
