The 2026 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto is built around a specific brief: a street-legal, single-cylinder motorcycle with a tall stance, long-travel suspension, 17-inch wheels and selectable rider aids designed for supermoto-style use. Those specifications make it a focused package on paper; they do not establish how comfortable or capable it feels in a real ride.
What makes the 701 Supermoto so focused?
Husqvarna’s US product page describes the bike as “Designed to bring the pure spirit of Supermoto riding to the streets.” The equipment supports that positioning: an 899 mm seat height, 224 mm of front suspension travel, 240 mm at the rear and 17-inch wheels. Together, those figures point toward a tall, agile-oriented street motorcycle rather than a low-slung, comfort-first design. That is an inference from the listed specifications, not an independent riding verdict.
The company pairs that chassis package with selectable ride modes and ABS settings tailored to different kinds of intervention. The result is a machine whose listed hardware and controls are unusually aligned with one riding style. The specifications alone cannot establish comfort, ease of use, handling quality or superiority on road or track.

|---|---|
| Engine | 692.7 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke |
| Power | 79 PS (58.1 kW) |
| Torque | 73 Nm |
| Transmission | Six-speed |
| Seat height | 899 mm |
| Weight | 152 kg without fuel |
| Fuel tank | 13.5 L |
| Ground clearance | 237 mm |
| Front and rear suspension travel | 224 mm front; 240 mm rear |
| Front and rear tires | Continental ContiAttack Supermoto, 120/70 front and 160/60 rear; full tire rating strings are not stated on the product page |
| Brakes | 320 mm front disc with four-piston Brembo caliper; 240 mm rear disc with single-piston Brembo caliper |
| Oil-change interval | 15,000 km, which Husqvarna says is longer than the outgoing model’s 10,000 km interval |
The 899 mm seat height is a meaningful fitment consideration, but it cannot by itself predict whether a particular rider can manage the bike comfortably. Likewise, the listed 152 kg figure excludes fuel, so it should not be treated as a ready-to-ride weight.
How the ride modes and ABS settings differ
Husqvarna says the two ride modes adjust throttle response and traction-control behavior. Its page describes four ABS choices—road, sport, supermoto and supermoto+—with different intervention approaches:
Rank #2
- Complete Kit x1
- Pioneer the Future
- Genuine Husqvarna Motorcycles OEM Replacement Part
- The kit provides all necessities for a routine oil change; includes the perfect amount of Power Synt 4T 10W/50 accompanied by an Original SpareParts oil filter and O-Rings. Everything needed to keep your Husqvarna Motorcycle for pioneering the future.
- KIT INCLUDES: 1.7 liter of Motorex Power Synt 4T 10W/50 fully synthetic oil (U6923152)
- Road: The road-oriented ABS setting.
- Sport: Allows harder braking before ABS intervention, according to Husqvarna.
- Supermoto: Allows rear-wheel lock while keeping front-wheel ABS available.
- Supermoto+: Is described by Husqvarna as helping initiate a slide while retaining front ABS.
These are the manufacturer’s descriptions of system behavior; they do not establish real-world stopping distances or safety outcomes. Riders should consult the relevant owner’s manual and follow local requirements when selecting or using settings.
Wheels, tires, suspension and brakes
The listed 17-inch spoked wheels and Continental ContiAttack Supermoto tires—120/70 at the front and 160/60 at the rear—are part of the bike’s dedicated supermoto setup. Husqvarna’s product page does not provide the full tire rating strings, so check the bike’s documentation and tire markings before replacing tires. Confirm exact model-year fitment, ratings, road legality and availability in your market rather than relying on size alone.
Rank #3
- Spring rear suspension
- Moveable kick stand
- Free-rolling wheels
WP APEX suspension provides 224 mm of front travel and 240 mm at the rear. Braking hardware comprises a 320 mm front disc with a four-piston Brembo caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a single-piston Brembo caliper. Those component specifications explain the equipment choice, but do not by themselves establish ride comfort, braking performance or handling quality.
US price and market differences
Husqvarna’s US page lists the 2026 701 Supermoto at a base MSRP of $13,399, plus $800 freight. These are US-listed commercial terms, not prices that can be applied to the UK or other markets; price and availability can change. Husqvarna also lists a corresponding 2026 model on its UK page, but the US price should not be used as a UK price.
Rank #4
- Sleek Design: Replace bulky factory setup with this low-profile fender eliminator kit
- Integrated LED Light Bar: Features 100 super bright dual color LEDs for brake lights, running lights, and turn signals
- Premium Quality: Made with high strength grade 1 extruded ABS plastic and precision CNC laser manufacturing for durability and proper fit

Maintenance and ownership questions
Husqvarna says the updated model’s oil-change interval is 15,000 km, compared with 10,000 km for the outgoing model. For an actual maintenance schedule, use the owner’s manual and service information for the correct market and model year. The product information cited here does not establish real-world fuel economy, long-term reliability, comfort or ownership costs.
For comparison shopping, useful specification checks include seat height and weight, engine output, suspension travel, wheel and tire dimensions, rider-aid settings, local price and service intervals. Those factors help describe what each motorcycle offers; they cannot replace a comparative ride test.
