Its core strengths remain composed ride and handling, a responsive 1.5-litre petrol engine and practical space for four. The trade-offs remain too: there is no engine choice beyond naturally aspirated petrol, highway noise is still noticeable, and some features offered by rivals are missing.
What changed for 2026?
Launched in India on October 6, 2026, this is the first major mid-cycle update to the Elevate introduced in 2023. The overall proportions are familiar, but Honda has revised the exterior details and added cabin equipment intended to make daily use feel more premium. The key question is therefore not whether the facelift transforms the Elevate mechanically—it does not—but whether the added comfort and convenience address what buyers wanted from the original.

Exterior and dimensions
The facelift brings a Bold Mesh Grille, Tri-Bar LED position lights, gloss-black exterior garnishes, connected rear LED tail lamp and a new 17-inch dual-tone alloy finish. Honda lists dimensions of 4,312 x 1,790 x 1,650 mm, a 2,650 mm wheelbase and 220 mm ground clearance. The new details give the front a stronger identity without changing the vehicle’s basic shape.

Cabin changes that matter day to day
The interior gains ivory-and-black upholstery and additional soft-touch trim, according to the road test. More important than the finish are the new comfort and parking features: powered and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and front parking sensors. Rear-seat ventilation is reserved for the ZX+ grade. The front ventilation is useful, though the reviewer found it takes time to cool effectively.

The 360-degree camera helps when manoeuvring, but its view is limited and the image appears small on screen. The touchscreen software also feels basic beside more polished systems. The update improves the equipment story, but it does not make the Elevate a technology leader in every respect.
How does it drive?
One naturally aspirated petrol engine
The Elevate retains a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 89 kW (121 PS) at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Buyers choose between a six-speed manual and a CVT; Honda has not added a turbo-petrol, diesel, hybrid or CNG option. The engine feels eager and progressive in the short road test, so it suits drivers who prefer predictable response and do not mind using revs to access performance.
The CVT is smooth in ordinary commuting. Press hard on the accelerator, however, and it holds the engine at high revs, producing the familiar rubber-band sensation that some drivers find less relaxed. Choose the manual if you want greater control over gear selection; choose the CVT for easier stop-and-go driving, accepting its high-rev character when accelerating firmly.

Ride, handling and refinement
The road test praised the balance of ride and handling, accurate steering and controlled body roll. On undulating roads at triple-digit speeds, the rear can move vertically, so the ride is not entirely settled in those conditions. Honda says it added sound-deadening material, and the reviewer noticed a limited improvement in quietness; engine and road noise nevertheless remain prominent at highway speeds. This was a short drive, not a comprehensive noise measurement or long-term assessment.
Space, comfort and everyday practicality
The cabin is practical and the boot is quoted at 458 litres, a figure reiterated in current road-test reporting from the 2023 specification. The rear bench is comfortable for two adults, but its centre position is tight for a third passenger. That makes the Elevate a more convincing choice for households that usually carry four people than for regular five-across use.
Other notable omissions include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate. Those gaps will matter more to buyers comparing feature lists than to drivers who put ride comfort, straightforward controls and usable luggage space first.

2026 Honda Elevate prices and variants
Honda’s published Delhi ex-showroom prices run from ₹11.80 lakh to ₹18.40 lakh. The range begins with the SV manual and tops out at the ZX+ Black CVT. These are not on-road prices; location, taxes, insurance, dealer offers and paint charges affect the amount payable. Honda notes additional charges for Pearl and dual-tone exterior paint.

The SV is manual-only. Honda offers CVT versions of V, VX, ZX and ZX+, as well as the ZX+ Black. Confirm the exact grade and transmission available locally and compare full on-road quotations before deciding on price alone.
Which variant should you buy?
- SV MT: The entry point if you want the manual powertrain and are comfortable prioritising price over the upper-grade equipment. It is the only SV transmission.
- V CVT: The least expensive route into the automatic, useful if avoiding a clutch in traffic matters more than having the higher-grade additions.
- VX or ZX: Consider these if the specific equipment on the grade justifies the step up for your use. Compare the local price gap with the features you will actually use rather than buying on trim name alone.
- ZX+: The grade to consider if rear-seat ventilation is important; Honda lists that feature only on ZX+. It also offers the CVT option for buyers who want the top grade without the Black edition’s styling.
- ZX+ Black: Choose it for the black-themed appearance if that finish is worth the price premium to you; its Delhi ex-showroom prices are ₹16.90 lakh manual and ₹18.40 lakh CVT.
Across the range, powered and ventilated front seats, parking equipment and driver-assistance features should be weighed against each price step and the exact grade’s equipment list. The road test found the low-speed-follow function and parking sensors convenient, but did not establish that every buyer will value them equally.

Safety, assistance and warranty
Honda’s listed safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, stability assistance, hill-start assistance, ISOFIX and Honda SENSING. CVT versions add an electric parking brake with auto brake hold, all-wheel disc brakes and low-speed follow for adaptive cruise control. Feature availability should be confirmed against the specific grade before purchase.
Honda’s stated standard warranty is three years with unlimited kilometres. Optional extended warranty is available up to seven years with unlimited kilometres, and Anytime Warranty up to ten years or 120,000 kilometres, subject to annual renewal terms. The facelift’s independent crash-test rating and long-term reliability record are not established here, so these should not be inferred from the equipment list or warranty.

Honda quotes certified fuel efficiency under CMVR Rule 115 of 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT. These are manufacturer-certified figures, not mileage observed during the facelift road test, which was too short to establish real-world consumption.

For context only, Autocar India cited prior-model test results of 8.7 km/l city and 13.30 km/l highway for the manual, and 8.60 km/l city and 13.10 km/l highway for the CVT. They are results for the earlier model, not the 2026 facelift, and should not be treated as a prediction of every owner’s usage.
Who should consider the Elevate—and who should compare alternatives?
The facelift makes the strongest case for buyers who want a practical five-seat SUV with composed road manners, a straightforward petrol engine and more cabin comfort equipment than before. Front-seat ventilation and powered adjustment improve the daily-use proposition, while the CVT is the easier choice for congested commuting if its response under hard acceleration suits you.
Compare other powertrains if you specifically want a hybrid, diesel, turbo-petrol or CNG vehicle: the Elevate offers just one naturally aspirated petrol engine. Also drive it at highway speed if refinement is a priority, and test the rear centre seat if you regularly carry five. A rival with dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof or a powered tailgate may better match a feature-led brief.
