What the price steps show
For a manual buyer, moving from SV to V adds ₹49,000 to the Delhi ex-showroom price. The next steps are ₹1.64 lakh from V to VX, ₹1.46 lakh from VX to ZX and ₹1.41 lakh from ZX to ZX+. The ZX+ Black is ₹10,000 above the corresponding standard ZX+ price in either transmission. Those figures help identify which jumps deserve a closer equipment comparison, but they do not tell you whether the added features justify the cost.
For CVT buyers, the listed starting point is V at ₹13.79 lakh. The ex-showroom steps are ₹1.60 lakh to VX, ₹1.50 lakh to ZX and ₹1.41 lakh to ZX+. ZX+ Black is another ₹10,000. Compare the same gearbox across grades: comparing a lower-grade manual with a higher-grade CVT confounds both the equipment and transmission costs.
Within each grade where both gearboxes are listed, the CVT costs more than the manual: the difference is ₹1.50 lakh for V, ₹1.46 lakh for VX, and ₹1.50 lakh each for ZX, ZX+ and ZX+ Black. These are list-price differences, not a complete estimate of ownership cost. They do not establish which gearbox will use less fuel in your driving or what a local dealer will charge on-road.

Which Honda Elevate transmission should you choose?
The refreshed Elevate uses a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed CVT with paddle shifters. Honda lists the manual in all five grades and the CVT in V, VX, ZX and ZX+; the ZX+ Black is also listed with both gearboxes.
Choose the manual if you want the lower-priced configuration
At each grade where both transmissions are listed, the manual configuration costs less than its CVT counterpart in Honda’s Delhi ex-showroom price list. The SV is manual-only. Whether that saving is worthwhile depends on your comfort with clutch use, your usual traffic and the way you prefer to drive. Consider a test drive on roads similar to your regular route.
Think through more than the purchase price. If you enjoy choosing gears, want the lower listed price and are comfortable using a clutch on your regular commute, a manual may suit you. If your day involves repeated stop-start traffic, try the manual and CVT back-to-back where possible and assess how much clutch operation matters to you. The best answer is personal; the price table cannot predict your tolerance for traffic or preference behind the wheel.
Choose the CVT if you do not want a clutch pedal
The CVT is the automatic option in this lineup, and it is available from V upward. Paddle shifters are part of Honda’s stated transmission specification. If a CVT is essential, there is no reason to compare the SV as a potential purchase: it is not listed with one.

For a buyer who wants an automatic, first decide which of V, VX, ZX or ZX+ fits the budget and feature requirements, then compare those grades in the CVT column. The CVT price premium over the manual in a matching grade is visible in the list, but whether that premium is worthwhile depends on your daily use. A test drive can help you judge accelerator response, low-speed behaviour and general comfort; do not choose based solely on the word “automatic” or a quoted fuel-economy number.
Do not use old mileage figures to settle the choice
Honda’s 2023 launch announcement quoted claimed fuel efficiency of 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.92 km/l for the CVT on the earlier Elevate. Those are historical launch claims, not confirmed figures for the refreshed model announced in October 2026. The current material does not establish a controlled, real-world fuel-cost comparison between the refreshed manual and CVT. Choose based on your driving preference and obtain current specifications rather than treating the older claims as a promise of present-day economy.
The 2023 release also gave original ex-showroom Delhi launch prices of ₹10,99,900 to ₹15,99,900. Those figures describe the earlier launch, not the October 2026 price list; use the current table above when budgeting for the refreshed car. If you find an old review or listing quoting a price or economy figure, check its date and model context before using it to compare a current dealer offer.
How to shortlist the right grade
- Set your transmission requirement. Decide whether a manual is acceptable. If you require a CVT, begin with V; if you are comfortable with a manual, include SV in your price comparison.
- Write down the features you will actually use. Separate essentials—such as parking assistance or a particular comfort feature—from equipment you would merely like to have.
- Confirm grade allocation in the current brochure. Honda’s announcement highlights several refreshed-model features, but its summary does not map every feature to a grade. Do not assume a feature is standard on a particular trim based only on the announcement. Ask the dealer to show the current grade-by-grade specification for the exact vehicle being quoted.
- Compare like with like. Compare manual with manual or CVT with CVT, then assess the price step between the grades that meet your requirements. The size of the ex-showroom gap does not determine the difference in each city’s final on-road price.
- Request an itemised, conditional-offer-free comparison. Ask the dealer to identify registration and insurance costs, accessories, discounts and any requirement to use particular financing or insurance. This makes it easier to distinguish the vehicle’s price from optional or conditional items.
- Check the car and purchase terms before paying. Confirm the manufacture date, availability, colour, grade-specific equipment, warranty terms and total drive-away amount for the specific vehicle.
When is the ZX worth considering?
Autocar India’s October 2026 variant guide describes the ZX as offering a strong feature-to-price proposition. That is an editorial assessment, not a universal answer: it depends on the current quote, the equipment included in the exact grade and whether you value those additions. Use the feature list and your own price comparison rather than treating any trim recommendation as a substitute for checking the car.
One practical way to test that recommendation is to compare the ZX with the grade immediately below it using the same gearbox. For a manual, the listed VX-to-ZX difference is ₹1.46 lakh; for a CVT, it is ₹1.50 lakh. Ask the dealer to identify exactly what equipment changes across that step, and then decide whether those additions are worth that amount to you. The available announcement summary does not give a complete feature-by-grade matrix, so a precise feature list should come from Honda’s current brochure or written dealer specification.
Apply the same method if you are considering ZX+. The ex-showroom step from ZX to ZX+ is ₹1.41 lakh for either gearbox. Do not assume every newly announced feature is exclusive to, or standard on, a particular grade without confirming it. A feature you will regularly use may justify a higher grade; an item that is only a nice-to-have may not.
Which grade makes sense for different buyers?
If your priority is the lowest listed entry price and you are happy with a manual, SV is the price-floor configuration. It is not suitable for a buyer who requires a CVT. If you want an automatic but are trying to control the budget, V is the first grade to compare, but verify its equipment against your must-have list before treating it as the right value choice.

If you are looking at VX, ZX or ZX+, compare the actual feature additions and total quote rather than assuming that a higher badge automatically means better value. A higher grade may include equipment you want, but the amount you pay is meaningful only in relation to your needs and the exact vehicle specification. For the ZX+ Black, the listed premium over standard ZX+ is ₹10,000; confirm what distinguishes the Black configuration and whether its appearance and specification suit you.

Honda describes exterior and cabin updates including a new grille, connected rear lighting, newly finished 17-inch alloy wheels, a dual-tone cabin treatment and premium leather upholstery. The announced feature list also includes active ventilation for front and rear seats, power-adjustable front seats, a 360-degree surround-vision camera, a PM2.5 air-quality indicator, an electric parking brake with auto brake hold, front and rear parking sensors, and Honda SENSING with Low-Speed Follow.
These are features Honda announced for the refreshed Elevate; the announcement summary does not establish which grade receives each item. Ask for the current brochure or a written specification for the variant and transmission on your quote. This is especially important if a particular comfort, parking or driver-assistance feature is the reason you are considering a higher grade.
For a useful showroom check, take your shortlist and mark each announced feature as a must-have, useful extra or non-factor. Ask the salesperson to show the feature on the actual car where possible, and have the written specification confirm equipment that is not immediately visible. For parking equipment, clarify whether the camera system, sensors or both are included in that specific configuration. For comfort features such as active ventilation and power-adjustable front seats, try them rather than relying only on a brochure description. These checks help keep a feature claim separate from a grade assumption.

Budget using the on-road quote, not just the Delhi list price
The published prices above are ex-showroom Delhi figures. A buyer in another city should not treat them as a local on-road price. Registration, insurance, applicable local fees, accessories and dealer offers can change the total. Request a city-specific quote that itemises each amount and shows which items are optional or conditional.

If the dealer presents a drive-away total, check that it matches the itemised breakdown and ask which components can be declined or selected independently.
There is no single on-road total to quote for all buyers because no city was specified and local costs vary. A Delhi ex-showroom price can help compare Honda’s listed variants, but it is not a substitute for an offer addressed to your registration location. Compare final payable totals, not just headline discounts.

Understand the warranty terms for your purchase
Honda announces a standard warranty of 3 years with unlimited kilometres. It also describes optional extended warranty coverage up to 7 years with unlimited kilometres and Anytime Warranty up to 10 years or 120,000 kilometres. The applicable options, eligibility, price and detailed terms should be confirmed with Honda for the vehicle and purchase date; the announced durations alone do not explain every condition.
Before paying for optional cover, ask for its cost, start and end dates, eligibility rules, coverage and exclusions in writing. Confirm whether the terms depend on the vehicle’s age, service history or purchase date, and what documentation is required. Do not treat an announced maximum duration as automatic coverage for every vehicle: the actual plan and terms must apply to your car.
Verify availability and specification on the actual car
- Confirm that the quoted grade and gearbox are available, and that the vehicle’s colour and manufacture date meet your requirements.
- Match the written quote to the exact grade and transmission; do not rely on a generic model name where several configurations are listed.
- Have the dealer identify which announced features are fitted to that configuration and distinguish factory equipment from accessories.
- Ask for the final payable amount and the terms attached to discounts, financing, insurance or accessory bundles.
- Read the warranty terms that apply to the vehicle, including any optional cover you are considering.
Accessories: check fitment and price separately
Honda’s September 2023 launch material announced 36 accessories and named a DVR, TPMS linked to H-Connect, and Signature and Armor accessory packages. That earlier announcement can help you ask a dealer about accessory options, but it does not confirm that every item or package remains available for the 2026 refresh, nor does it establish an individual product’s compatibility with your specific grade.
If you are considering a dash camera or other accessory, ask Honda or an authorised dealer to confirm current availability, fitment, installation terms and any effect on warranty. Request the accessory price and installation cost separately from the vehicle quote. Do not assume that a product listing or an old package name guarantees fitment, current stock or a particular connection feature on the refreshed model.

There is no single grade that is right for every buyer. Choose SV if you want the manual and it meets your equipment needs; it is not a CVT option. Choose among V, VX, ZX and ZX+ if you want a choice of manual or CVT, and compare the exact equipment and local quote for each candidate. Consider ZX or a higher grade only when its confirmed additional equipment is worth the price difference to you. Before booking, make the decision against the current brochure and a written, itemised quote for the actual vehicle.
A straightforward shortlist can be built in three passes. First, cross out every configuration that does not have your preferred transmission. Second, compare the remaining candidates against a written list of features you will use. Third, request itemised local quotes for the same gearbox and calculate the real price gap. If one higher grade only adds items you do not value, the lower grade may be the better fit; if it adds a feature you specifically want, the premium may be justified. Confirm the equipment and terms before you reserve a car.
