Cadillac estimates 0–60 mph in 4.4 seconds and lists a starting price of $168,000. The longer Escalade-V ESV adds cargo room but has a slightly lower maximum tow rating. These performance figures and estimates are from Cadillac, not independent testing.
What makes the 2026 Escalade-V different?
The Escalade-V is Cadillac’s high-performance version of its full-size luxury SUV. Its 6.2L supercharged V8 produces a manufacturer-published 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque, routed through all-wheel drive. Cadillac estimates a 0–60 mph time of 4.4 seconds; that is a manufacturer estimate, not an independently measured result. Cadillac’s Escalade-V page lists the powertrain and performance figures.
The chassis and braking equipment are part of the V’s appeal alongside its engine: Cadillac highlights Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, an electronic limited-slip differential, Brembo front brakes with 16.1-inch rotors and driver-selectable modes that include V-Mode. Those features suit buyers seeking a more performance-focused Escalade, but the published acceleration figure alone does not establish how the SUV will perform in every road or weather condition.
How much is the 2026 Cadillac Escalade-V?
Cadillac lists a $168,000 starting price for the 2026 Escalade-V. Its official pages show different prices for vehicles “as shown”: $169,325 on the V-Series page and $163,725 on the lineup page. Because the displayed figures differ and do not establish a universal transaction price, treat the starting price as a baseline and request a current quote for the exact vehicle. Cadillac’s V-Series page and its Escalade lineup page contain the respective figures.

How much horsepower does the 2026 Escalade-V have?
Cadillac publishes 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque for both the standard-wheelbase Escalade-V and Escalade-V ESV. Both use the 6.2L supercharged V8 and AWD. Cadillac’s 4.4-second 0–60 mph estimate also applies to both versions in its published specifications. These are manufacturer figures; the available information does not establish independent road-test results.

What is the difference between Escalade-V and Escalade-V ESV?
The ESV is the extended-wheelbase version. Cadillac’s comparison lists it as 15 inches longer, with a higher maximum cargo-volume figure but a lower maximum towing rating. The cargo figures below are maximum volume behind the first row, not space available behind every seating row. Cadillac’s 2026 Escalade comparison provides the dimensions and estimates.
| Specification | Escalade-V | Escalade-V ESV |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 211.9 in. | 226.9 in. |
| Maximum cargo volume (behind first row) | 120.5 cu. ft. | 142.2 cu. ft. |
| Maximum towing | 7,200 lb | 7,000 lb |
| Engine and output | 6.2L supercharged V8; 682 hp, 653 lb-ft | 6.2L supercharged V8; 682 hp, 653 lb-ft |
| Drive | AWD | AWD |
| Cadillac-estimated 0–60 mph | 4.4 seconds | 4.4 seconds |
| EPA-estimated fuel economy | 11 mpg city / 17 mpg highway | 11 mpg city / 17 mpg highway |
Choose between the two based on how you use the third row, cargo area and trailer. The ESV’s extra length may be useful when maximum cargo space matters; the standard model has the higher published maximum tow rating. Cadillac’s pages differ on seating capacity: one says up to eight, while another lists up to seven for V models. Seating depends on the specific configuration, so confirm the seat count on the vehicle’s build sheet rather than assuming either figure applies to every Escalade-V.

What is the Escalade-V’s gas mileage?
Cadillac lists EPA-estimated fuel economy of 11 mpg city and 17 mpg highway for both the Escalade-V and ESV, and says premium gasoline is required. These are EPA estimates, not a guarantee of real-world results. Driving conditions and use can affect fuel consumption. Cadillac’s comparison page lists the estimates and fuel requirement.
How much can a 2026 Escalade-V tow?
Cadillac lists maximum towing of 7,200 lb for the standard-wheelbase Escalade-V and 7,000 lb for the ESV. A maximum rating is not a safe working limit for every configuration or trailer. Check the owner’s manual and the ratings for the exact vehicle, including payload and applicable equipment, then make sure the trailer and load are properly matched. Cadillac provides a 2026 owner manual and other vehicle guides for operating and safety instructions.

What should buyers check before choosing one?
- Get the exact price: Compare a current, itemized dealer quote with the vehicle’s build sheet rather than relying on an “as shown” price.
- Confirm seating and equipment: Verify the actual seat configuration and which listed technology, comfort and driver-assistance features are fitted.
- Match the body style to the job: Compare the standard model and ESV’s length, maximum cargo volume and towing ratings against your parking, passenger and hauling needs.
- Plan for fuel: Budget for premium gasoline and consider the published 11/17 mpg city/highway estimates when weighing the V’s power against running costs.
- Check accessories by vehicle: A 2026 Escalade-V window sticker for one vehicle lists dealer-installed all-weather floor mats and an integrated cargo liner. That confirms these items appeared on one configuration, not that they fit every V. For floor protection, verify the model year, standard versus ESV body and exact fitment before purchase. Cadillac also describes a dealer-installed roof-rack cross-rail package, but its page does not establish fitment for every V configuration.
