These were manufacturer-stated year-over-year MSRP reductions—not dealer discounts or guaranteed savings today. Subaru now says the 2025 Solterra is no longer available new.
How much did the 2025 Subaru Solterra cost?
Subaru of America announced the prices on December 20, 2024, for the U.S.-market 2025 Solterra, an all-electric SUV with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and dual electric motors. Its four trim MSRPs were:
| Trim | Announced MSRP | Change from 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | $38,495 | $6,500 lower |
| Limited | $41,995 | $6,500 lower |
| Touring | $44,995 | $7,000 lower |
| Touring Onyx Edition | $45,495 | New for 2025; no year-over-year reduction stated |
The Premium reduction is the clearest headline figure: Subaru’s release said it would start at $38,495 MSRP, $6,500 less than the 2024 model, before applicable federal, state, and local tax credits. The Limited also dropped $6,500, and the Touring dropped $7,000. Subaru did not state a 2024 comparison for the new Touring Onyx Edition. Read Subaru’s December 20, 2024 pricing announcement.
What those prices include—and what they do not
MSRP is the manufacturer’s suggested price, not a promise of the price a buyer would pay. Subaru listed destination and delivery separately: $1,420 in most states and $1,570 in Alaska, with other stated state exceptions. Taxes, title, registration, dealer charges, and any dealer-installed options can also affect the final amount.

That is a configuration example, not a current quote or a price that applies identically in every state. See Subaru’s 2025 Solterra Limited price document.
The announced cuts were changes to the model-year MSRP. They are different from a dealer discount, a temporary incentive, or a tax credit. Subaru’s release referred to potential applicable tax credits but does not establish present-day eligibility, dealer offers, or the transaction price any buyer could obtain.

Can you still buy a new 2025 Solterra?
Not as a new model through Subaru’s current model page: it states, “The 2025 Subaru Solterra is no longer available as a new model.” That establishes the model’s current new-car status on Subaru’s site, not whether a particular dealer has unsold stock. It also says nothing about used inventory or used-car prices. Check Subaru’s 2025 Solterra model page.
