Exterior and interior changes
The exterior receives substantially more than a badge package. Shelby lists a deep-draw aluminum hood with a functional center vent, revised upper and lower grilles, brake ducts, outboard grilles, and a three-piece lower front splitter. At the rear, the car gets a ducktail spoiler.
Other visual and identification details include Shelby badging, Le Mans-style striping, and tinted windows where permitted by state regulations. Buyers should confirm the legality of the selected window tint in their jurisdiction rather than assuming every Shelby-installed appearance option is permitted everywhere.

Inside, the package includes leather seat recovers, embroidered floor mats, door-sill plates, puddle lamps when equipped, and serialized dash and engine plaques. Manual-transmission cars receive a Shelby shifter ball. The serialized plaques are particularly relevant to collectors because they identify the converted car as part of Shelby American’s limited production run.
Manual or automatic transmission?
The street 2025 Shelby GT350 is available with either a manual or automatic transmission. The short-throw shifter listed in Shelby’s equipment package applies only to manual cars, so it should not be interpreted as equipment included on the automatic version.
The published starting price is based on a manual-transmission Mustang GT. An automatic car may therefore have a different final price or equipment basis. Confirm the transmission, donor-car package, and included Shelby equipment in the written purchase specification.

Shelby American says it plans to build 562 street GT350s. The number commemorates the 562 GT350s Shelby produced in 1965, the first year of the original model.

Production was announced to begin in the second quarter of 2025. In the United States, Shelby said availability would be through selected Ford dealers, with limited international production handled through Shelby modification shops. The 562 figure is a planned production target; it does not by itself prove that all 562 cars had been completed, delivered, or registered.
Warranty
Shelby’s brochure lists a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty for the original owner. That wording matters. It is not a blanket statement that every part of the donor Mustang and every Shelby component has identical coverage under identical terms. Buyers should obtain the applicable warranty documents and ask how coverage is allocated between Ford and Shelby-modified components.
2025 Shelby GT350R: a different car with a different price
The GT350R is a separate, more track-focused derivative. It should not be confused with the street GT350, and its price should not be assumed to be $109,995 or $109,999. At launch, Shelby said the GT350R’s MSRP would be announced later.
Shelby announced more than 830 horsepower for the GT350R, along with a planned run of just 36 cars. It is manual-transmission only.

Is this the same Shelby GT350 Ford sold before?
No. The name creates an understandable but important source of confusion.
Ford previously sold a factory-engineered Shelby GT350 and GT350R based on the sixth-generation Mustang. That car used a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter flat-plane-crank V8—commonly called the Voodoo engine—and produced 526 horsepower in its final form.
