What makes the NISMO different?
The NISMO has 420 hp and 384 lb-ft, compared with 400 hp and 350 lb-ft for other 2025 Z grades. Nissan also specifies NISMO-tuned suspension and steering, unique stabilizer bars, stiffer springs, larger retuned dampers, a mechanical limited-slip differential, and larger ventilated brakes: 15 inches at the front and 13.8 inches at the rear.

These are Nissan’s March 2025 suggested prices, not current quotes. The NISMO’s other specified hardware includes staggered 19-inch forged RAYS wheels and Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tires, sized 255/40R19 at the front and 285/35R19 at the rear. Can a dad own a two-seat sports car?
Yes, if “fatherhood-approved” means a personal or second car for a parent whose regular driving needs fit two occupants and light luggage. The Nissan brochure lists 6.9 cu. ft. of cargo volume for the Z, but this is not a substitute for the space and seating of a family vehicle.

The Z has two seats. The dossier does not establish child-seat fitment, so do not assume a child restraint can be installed or used appropriately. If you are considering one, check your specific restraint and installation needs in person and consult the vehicle and restraint instructions before buying.
Safety equipment and limits of the evidence
Nissan lists Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert as standard equipment. Nissan’s EPA estimates for the automatic NISMO are 17 mpg city, 24 highway, and 19 combined; actual fuel economy varies. The press kit lists the NISMO at 173.2 inches long, 73.6 inches wide, 51.8 inches high, and with 4.9 inches of ground clearance. Check the specific car and your routes for parking, access, and cargo needs rather than assuming a road-test result.
Nissan’s 2025 brochure states roadside-assistance coverage for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, with services including flat-tire changes, lockouts, trip interruption, emergency fuel delivery, and jump starts. Confirm the applicable terms with the seller and warranty booklet before relying on coverage. Nissan describes the new Z as the seventh generation of a line with more than 50 years of history. Can a child seat fit in a 2025 Nissan Z?
