The 603-hp figure belongs to the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+, not the standard GT 63 coupe. Mercedes-Benz lists the regular GT 63 at 577 hp and 590 lb-ft; the PRO raises output to 603 hp and 627 lb-ft and adds track-focused cooling and aerodynamic changes. A third similarly named model, the GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE, has a 603-hp V8 but 805 hp of combined hybrid-system output.
Which 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 makes 603 hp?
Mercedes-Benz’s U.S. specifications distinguish three cars that are easy to conflate. The standard GT 63 is a 577-hp V8 coupe. The GT 63 PRO is the 603-hp, track-oriented version. The GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE is a separate plug-in hybrid whose V8 makes 603 hp, while its combined system output is 805 hp.

What makes the GT 63 PRO more track-focused?
Mercedes-Benz describes the PRO as the most dynamic model in the AMG GT portfolio and says its additional cooling and aerodynamic development are intended to support street and racetrack performance. That is the automaker’s characterization; the published figures here do not establish independent lap times or endurance performance.

The PRO announcement identifies two radiators in the front wheel arches and active cooling for the differential and transfer-case radiators. These changes target cooling needs in the all-wheel-drive performance hardware, rather than adding horsepower through a hybrid system.
Aerodynamic development
Mercedes-Benz says the PRO receives aerodynamic changes alongside its cooling upgrades. The available announcement does not quantify an independent lap-time gain or establish how the changes perform under particular circuit, weather, or tire conditions.

Standard GT 63 equipment
The regular GT 63 already has substantial performance equipment in Mercedes-Benz’s U.S. reference guide: AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilization, 2.5-degree active rear-axle steering, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, AMG TRACK PACE, an active rear wing and underbody element, and an AMG Performance exhaust. Its AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package includes a RACE drive program with Drift mode and lowered suspension.
How much quicker is the PRO?
The standard GT 63 has a manufacturer-estimated 0–60 mph time of 3.1 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 196 mph. For the PRO, Mercedes-Benz publishes a 10.9-second estimate for 0–124 mph and a 197-mph electronically limited top speed. Those are different acceleration intervals, so they do not support a direct comparison of 0–60 performance. Mercedes-Benz’s July 11, 2024 announcement says the PRO’s handcrafted 4.0L V8 biturbo delivers 26 more horsepower than the standard GT 63.
What the specifications do—and do not—say
The specifications establish which model carries the 603-hp V8 claim and identify factory equipment aimed at performance. They do not show real-world track endurance, tire behavior, brake fade, or which version suits a particular driver. The cited information also does not establish track-use limitations, track-specific maintenance intervals, or warranty coverage after circuit driving; those questions require the model-specific owner’s manual and warranty documents.
