In the United States, the Street Glide Ultra starts at $30,749, before taxes, title, registration, dealer charges, and other applicable costs. It is more luxurious in the practical long-distance sense, with a Tour-Pak, passenger armrests, a two-up seat, 4.9 cubic feet of storage, fairing lowers, heated grips, and a taller windshield. It is not, however, Harley-Davidson’s most exclusive or powerful Street Glide: that role belongs to the much more expensive CVO Street Glide.
What is the 2025 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Ultra?
The Street Glide Ultra is a new 2025 model that expands the regular Street Glide into a more fully equipped long-distance touring motorcycle. Harley-Davidson describes it as a “fully equipped long-haul touring model,” and that description is reflected in the standard equipment rather than just in cosmetic trim.
The key idea is simple: the standard Street Glide is the leaner touring configuration, while the Ultra arrives ready for extended two-up trips. It adds the luggage, passenger equipment, wind protection, storage, and comfort features that many touring riders would otherwise need to add separately.
#1 Best Overall
- Front seat sets the rider back 1. 75" compared to the stock seat; Angles the body for long-distance comfort
- Rear seat provides support across its full width and keeps the passenger firmly in the comfort zone
- Styled after state-of-the-art automotive interior designs; Convenient front bucket drain hole for rainy days
- Includes (1) Super Touring Deluxe one-piece seat in black; Suggested for installation (not included): phillips screwdriver and retained stock 1/4"-20 x 1/2" rear fender screw
- Fits Harley-Davidson Road King '08-'21, Street Glide '08-'21, Street Glide Trike '10-'11, Electra Glide '08-'21, Road Glide '08-'21, Tri-Glide '09-'21
That makes “ultra luxurious” a reasonable description of the motorcycle’s touring equipment, but not an objective category or a claim that it outranks every Harley-Davidson on price, performance, or exclusivity.
Price and availability
The U.S. starting MSRP for the 2025 Street Glide Ultra is $30,749. That figure excludes taxes, title, licensing, dealer fees, freight, setup, and other charges that may apply depending on the transaction and location.
The model was officially announced in January 2025 and Harley-Davidson’s U.S. product information presents it as a production motorcycle with pricing, financing, inventory, test-ride, reserve, and quote tools. In other words, this was a confirmed 2025 model introduction—not a rumor or a motorcycle still awaiting a reveal.
Readers ready to investigate availability can build the Street Glide Ultra, check local inventory, or request a Street Glide Ultra quote through Harley-Davidson’s official sales channels. A dealer can also confirm current pricing, destination charges, available colors, and whether a particular motorcycle remains in stock.

The Ultra’s advantage is primarily about how much touring equipment comes standard. Its most important upgrades are functional ones that matter on a long ride, especially when carrying a passenger.
Tour-Pak luggage and passenger equipment
The motorcycle includes a Tour-Pak luggage carrier with a passenger backrest area, armrests, and a luggage rack. It also has a dedicated two-up comfort seat.
Those additions change the Street Glide’s use case. A solo rider who prefers a cleaner rear profile may favor the standard model, but a couple traveling with clothing, electronics, rain gear, and personal items will likely appreciate the additional top case and passenger support immediately.

- Fitment: Fit for Harley Touring models 2009-later.This One-Piece Driver Passenger Seat offers a seamless upgrade for riders seeking both style and comfort. Note:If there are protrusions caused by modifications under the seat cushion, such as the installation of a gas tank, the seat cushion may not be able to be secured. Please proceed with caution when purchasing
- Enhanced Comfort for Long Rides: The seat is ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort for both the driver and passenger. Its contoured shape helps reduce pressure points, making long-distance rides more enjoyable for you and your passenger
- Supportive Design: The design of a firmer aftermarket seat, compared to the stock seat, offers improved support, handling, and durability. It provides better weight-bearing capacity for the rider, preventing fatigue caused by seat sag during long rides. It helps maintain a proper riding posture, reducing pressure on the lower back and spine. Additionally, it minimizes body movement while riding, enhancing the precision of vehicle control. It is also more resistant to deformation, ensuring a longer lifespan
- Material: Synthetic Leather and Ultra-Foam – The seat is made from premium synthetic leather, offering a luxurious feel while being easy to maintain. The ultra-foam cushioning ensures long-lasting comfort, providing excellent support for both the rider and passenger, withstanding prolonged use without sagging

4.9 cubic feet of storage
Harley-Davidson lists 4.9 cubic feet of combined luggage and storage capacity for the Street Glide Ultra. That is more than twice the storage volume listed for the standard Street Glide within the same model-year family.
Storage capacity is one of the Ultra’s strongest practical differentiators. The extra space can reduce the need to pack as tightly or use aftermarket luggage for a multi-day trip. Buyers should still check how the stated volume is divided among the saddlebags, Tour-Pak, and other compartments, since total capacity does not necessarily mean every item will fit conveniently in one location.
Taller windshield and adjustable airflow
The Ultra uses a windshield that is four inches taller than the standard Street Glide’s windshield. It also adds adjustable fork-mounted air deflectors and vents in the fairing lowers.
Harley-Davidson says the taller windshield can reduce helmet buffeting by up to 60 percent. That is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent test result, so actual results will vary with rider height, helmet design, seating position, speed, and weather conditions.
The adjustable airflow hardware is valuable because wind protection is personal. One rider may want a calmer pocket of air during highway travel, while another may prefer more ventilation in hot conditions. The Ultra gives the rider more ways to tune that airflow than the basic configuration.
Fairing lowers and heated grips
New fairing lowers provide additional coverage around the rider’s legs and include vents for airflow management. The motorcycle also comes with heated hand grips, a small but meaningful feature for early-morning starts, high-elevation routes, and shoulder-season touring.
These features do not turn the motorcycle into a fully enclosed touring machine, but they reinforce the Ultra’s purpose: covering substantial distances in a broader range of conditions without relying immediately on optional comfort accessories.

- Split-cushion design separates lumbar support and seat cushions so they compress independently, reducing tail and hip bone pressure
- SaddleGel in front and rear increases comfort for both driver and passenger
- Optional drivers backrest features an air-adjustable bladder for softness, adjustable vertical and horizontal position and is removable
- Covered with black waterproof and durable soft touch SaddleHyde for good looks and supple comfort
- Matching passenger backrest/trunk covers complete the custom look
Infotainment and audio
The Street Glide Ultra has a 12.3-inch touchscreen TFT display running Harley-Davidson’s Skyline OS. Standard technology includes:
- Embedded navigation
- Apple CarPlay
- Multiple selectable ride modes
- A 200-watt audio system
The large display is intended to make navigation, audio, and motorcycle information easier to manage than a smaller conventional instrument arrangement. Apple CarPlay availability also gives compatible phone users another way to access navigation, media, and communication functions. Riders should confirm phone compatibility and the exact feature behavior for their market before purchase.

Rider-assistance systems
Harley-Davidson lists several electronic rider-safety and convenience systems, including:
- Cornering Anti-lock Braking System
- Cornering traction control
- Vehicle Hold Control
Cornering systems are designed to account for the motorcycle’s lean angle when intervening, while Vehicle Hold Control can help hold the motorcycle temporarily on an incline or at a stop. These systems are aids, not substitutes for appropriate speed, following distance, training, or attentive riding.
2025 Street Glide Ultra specifications
| Specification | 2025 Street Glide Ultra |
|---|---|
| Engine | Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin |
| Horsepower | 105 hp at 4,600 rpm |
| Torque | 130 lb-ft at 3,250 rpm |
| Estimated fuel economy | 44 mpg |
| Fuel capacity | 6 gallons |
| Running weight | 866 pounds |
| Laden seat height | 26.9 inches |
| Rear suspension | Dual outboard emulsion shocks, 3 inches of travel, hand-adjustable hydraulic preload |
| Starting MSRP in the U.S. | $30,749 |
The Milwaukee-Eight 117 has liquid-cooled cylinder heads and a centrally located radiator. Its 105 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque suit the motorcycle’s touring mission: strong low- and mid-range output for moving a large motorcycle, a passenger, and luggage rather than an emphasis on outright sport-bike acceleration.
The listed 866-pound running weight is important context for prospective buyers. The Ultra may have a relatively accessible 26.9-inch laden seat height, but it remains a substantial motorcycle. Low-speed maneuvering, parking, reversing, and handling a fully loaded bike require planning and confidence, especially with a passenger aboard.

Street Glide Ultra vs. standard Street Glide
| Feature | 2025 Street Glide | 2025 Street Glide Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Starting U.S. MSRP | $27,749 | $30,749 |
| Engine family | Milwaukee-Eight 117 | Milwaukee-Eight 117 |
| Published torque | 130 lb-ft | 130 lb-ft |
| Tour-Pak | Not standard in the conventional configuration | Standard |
| Passenger armrests | Not part of the standard configuration | Standard |
| Seat | Standard Street Glide configuration | Two-up comfort seat |
| Wind protection | Standard windshield | Windshield four inches taller, plus additional airflow hardware |
| Combined storage | About half the Ultra’s listed capacity | 4.9 cubic feet |
The starting-price difference is $3,000. That premium is not mainly paying for a different engine. Both motorcycles use the Milwaukee-Eight 117 family, and Harley-Davidson lists 130 lb-ft of torque for each in the relevant comparison. The additional money primarily buys the Ultra’s touring package: Tour-Pak storage, passenger armrests, two-up seating, extra wind protection, fairing lowers, heated grips, and expanded carrying capacity.

For a rider who mostly travels alone, takes short trips, or prefers a lower-profile rear end, the standard Street Glide may be the better value. For frequent two-up travel or multi-day highway trips, the Ultra’s standard equipment could be more economical than buying and fitting comparable touring accessories later.
Street Glide Ultra vs. CVO Street Glide
The Street Glide Ultra should not be confused with the CVO Street Glide. Both occupy the premium end of Harley-Davidson’s touring range, but they pursue different kinds of luxury.
| Category | Street Glide Ultra | CVO Street Glide |
|---|---|---|
| Starting U.S. MSRP | $30,749 | $45,999 |
| Engine | Milwaukee-Eight 117 | Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 |
| Published output | 105 hp, 130 lb-ft | 115 hp, 139 lb-ft |
| Primary emphasis | Two-up comfort, storage, and long-haul touring | Factory-custom styling, premium finishes, and higher performance |
The CVO Street Glide is Harley-Davidson’s more expensive factory-custom option. It adds exclusive paint and finishes, premium detailing, distinctive wheels, high-performance audio, and the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine. Its listed output—115 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque—is higher than the Ultra’s.

The CVO remains the relevant choice for buyers prioritizing factory-custom exclusivity, premium styling, and stronger published engine output. Calling the Ultra the “most luxurious” Street Glide without defining luxury would blur that distinction.
Who should buy the Street Glide Ultra?
The 2025 Street Glide Ultra makes the most sense for riders who:
- Frequently ride with a passenger
- Take multi-day or long-distance trips
- Want a Tour-Pak and substantial luggage capacity from the factory
- Value extra wind protection and adjustable airflow
- Want heated grips, integrated navigation, Apple CarPlay, and a large display as standard equipment
- Prefer touring comfort over CVO-exclusive styling and maximum published output
It may be less compelling for riders who mainly commute alone, rarely carry luggage, or intend to customize the motorcycle extensively. Those buyers may save $3,000 with the standard Street Glide and choose only the accessories they actually need.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to check before buying
- Compare the complete out-the-door price. The $30,749 MSRP is only the starting point. Ask for freight, setup, documentation, taxes, registration, dealer fees, and any installed accessories in writing.
- Test the fit with your passenger. Passenger armrests and a two-up seat are useful only if both riders find the seating position comfortable. A test ride can also reveal whether the windscreen and airflow suit your height and helmet.
- Practice low-speed handling. At 866 pounds running weight, this is a large touring motorcycle. Evaluate parking, backing, U-turns, and stops on uneven or sloped surfaces.
- Confirm storage needs. The 4.9-cubic-foot figure is generous, but check the actual shape and access of each compartment. A luggage organizer may improve usability, but any accessory must be verified for the 2025 model and exact fitment.
- Compare the Ultra with a CVO on priorities, not just badges. The CVO costs substantially more and offers higher published output and factory-custom finishes. The Ultra directs more of its value toward practical touring equipment.
- Check regional specifications. Prices, equipment, colors, taxes, availability, and legal requirements can differ outside the United States.
Accessories and ownership considerations
The Ultra already includes the major touring hardware, so accessories should solve a specific problem rather than duplicate standard equipment. Useful categories may include a model-compatible luggage organizer, a motorcycle cover, a battery tender, a phone mount, or additional long-distance riding gear.

Compatibility matters. A product advertised for a “Street Glide” may not fit the 2025 Street Glide Ultra, particularly around the Tour-Pak, windshield, fairing lowers, electrical connections, and storage compartments. Verify the year, trim, mounting system, and installation instructions before ordering any accessory. Current marketplace stock and fitment can change, so a live product check is necessary before publication or purchase.
Bottom line
The 2025 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Ultra is a real production model introduced on January 23, 2025—not a future rumor. Starting at $30,749 in the U.S., it adds the equipment that makes a Street Glide more suitable for serious two-up touring: a Tour-Pak, passenger armrests, a comfort seat, 4.9 cubic feet of storage, a taller windshield, fairing lowers, heated grips, and upgraded touring electronics.
It is a more luxurious Street Glide in terms of comfort and travel readiness, but it is not Harley-Davidson’s top factory-custom or performance Street Glide. Buyers wanting practical long-haul capability should look closely at the Ultra; buyers wanting maximum exclusivity and output should compare it with the $45,999 CVO Street Glide.
