Those are manufacturer figures, not guarantees of real-world range or independent test results. This guide focuses on the Escalade IQ rather than implying a verified head-to-head comparison across a wider class.
What counts as a full-size electric SUV in this guide?
“Full-size” describes a vehicle’s size and family-hauling role, not simply the fact that it has three rows. The Escalade IQ is 224.3 inches long, has a 136.2-inch wheelbase, and is listed for seven passengers. Those dimensions help explain why it belongs in a different packaging conversation from smaller three-row electric SUVs.
The available official information supports a detailed look at the 2025 Escalade IQ, but does not establish another directly comparable 2025 full-size electric SUV with equivalent specifications. Ford’s 2025 Expedition is a conventional gasoline-powered full-size SUV, not an electric alternative; its official model page illustrates the size-class context without serving as an EV competitor.
What is the range of a full-size electric SUV?
Cadillac estimates the 2025 Escalade IQ’s range at 460 miles. That is the manufacturer’s estimate, not a promise that every driver will travel that far on a charge. Actual distance can vary with conditions and use. Cadillac’s model page also references an Edmunds range test, but that test is distinct from Cadillac’s estimate; the figure above should not be read as an independent test result.

When comparing electric SUVs, keep the source of each range figure clear: a manufacturer estimate and a third-party test are different kinds of evidence. The figure alone also does not answer how convenient a vehicle will be to charge on a particular route or at home.
How much room does the Escalade IQ offer for passengers and cargo?
Passenger room
Cadillac lists seating for seven and the following legroom figures for the 2025 model:
Rank #2
- High-quality car model: Package size: 10.24×4.61×5.08 in. package weight: 1.58 pounds. Made of zinc alloy, plastic and electronics. Safe material. Suitable for children as well as adults to play.
- Cool light and sound: There is a three-position switch on the bottom of the car. When in the middle gear, the front and rear lights are on continuously. When in the sound gear, pressing the horn makes a realistic horn sound. At the same time, the front and rear lights will also light up.
- Exquisite design:It has detailed interior. The doors, hood and trunk can be opened. The wheels simulates shock absorption.
- Interesting pull back car: Put the car on the ground, press and hold the car body, then pull back, it will drive forward. Very funny.
- Awesome Gift: The car toy is perfect for birthdays, Christmas gifts, party and cake decorations. It can be a valuable reward gift for kids. It is also good for model car collectors.
| Row | Legroom |
|---|---|
| First | 45.2 inches |
| Second | 41.3 inches |
| Third | 32.3 inches |
Third-row legroom is useful context for families who expect to use all three rows regularly. A seat count alone does not describe comfort, so consider who will ride in the back and how much luggage needs to travel with them.
Cargo capacity by seating configuration
Cargo volume changes according to which rows are occupied or folded. Cadillac lists these capacities for the 2025 Escalade IQ:

| Space measured | Capacity |
|---|---|
| Behind the third row | 23.6 cubic feet |
| Behind the second row | 69.1 cubic feet |
| Behind the first row | Up to 119.1 cubic feet |
| eTrunk | Up to 12.2 cubic feet |
For a family trip with all seats in use, the most relevant listed figure is the 23.6 cubic feet behind the third row. The larger capacities apply when rear seating is folded, so they should not be treated as cargo space available while carrying seven passengers. Cadillac’s specifications page is the source for these configuration-specific measurements.
How much power does the Escalade IQ have?
With Velocity Max, Cadillac lists 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, and estimates acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds. These are manufacturer specifications and an acceleration estimate, not independent test findings. The performance numbers describe the vehicle with Velocity Max; do not assume they apply identically in every driving mode.

Can you charge an Escalade IQ at home?
Yes. Cadillac says the 2025 Escalade IQ includes a 20-foot, 7.7 kW dual-level charging cord. It also lists an available 19.2 kW home-charging setup that requires a 100-amp dedicated circuit and professional installation. Before choosing a home-charging arrangement, have the electrical service and circuit capacity assessed and confirm connector compatibility and installation needs.
For public DC fast charging, Cadillac lists a CCS1 charge port and 800-volt charging architecture. The company also says an available GM-approved NACS DC adapter allows access to more than 29,000 Tesla Superchargers. Adapter availability and charging-network access can vary by market and change over time, so check current Cadillac information and local availability before relying on that access for a trip.

What should shoppers compare beyond range and power?
For a useful comparison between genuinely comparable electric SUVs, look at the practical details alongside headline figures:
- Passenger use: seating capacity, third-row legroom and whether all rows will be occupied often.
- Cargo with seats in use: volume behind the third row, not just the maximum capacity with seats folded.
- Range evidence: manufacturer estimates and independent test results should be labeled separately.
- Charging fit: connector, DC fast-charging capability, home electrical requirements and local network access.
- Performance context: whether horsepower and acceleration figures depend on a specific mode or configuration.
These criteria make a comparison more useful than putting a full-size vehicle beside a smaller three-row EV without explaining differences in dimensions and packaging. Cadillac also lists an eight-year or 100,000-mile electric propulsion battery warranty, whichever comes first; ask a dealer for details and confirm the warranty booklet and terms applicable to your market.
