What changed on the 2025 Maverick’s front end?
Ford’s July 31, 2024 announcement describes a redesigned front grille, bumper and dark-appearance LED headlamps for the 2025 Maverick. Ford calls the redesigned components standard, while noting that grille designs differ among trims. Higher trims receive LED projector headlamps with LED signature accent lighting. Ford’s 2025 Maverick announcement does not itemize every grille design, so check the equipment details for the specific trim and market when comparing vehicles.
Ford’s announcement names XL, XLT, Lariat and Tremor trims. The front-end treatment is not identical across the lineup; the announcement also notes new 19-inch wheels for the Lariat, though those wheels are a separate styling update rather than part of the redesigned face.
What else is new for 2025?
The front-end redesign arrived alongside cabin and technology updates. The 2025 Maverick replaces the previous 8-inch touchscreen with a 13.2-inch display, adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, retains an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and adds a 5G modem. Ford grouped these broader changes under the heading “Freshened Appearance, Inside and Out.”

Ford also reported targeted EPA-estimated fuel economy of 42 mpg city for the 2025 hybrid front-wheel-drive model and 40 mpg city for the hybrid all-wheel-drive model. These were Ford’s targets in its 2024 announcement, not observed real-world results. Is the 2026 Maverick getting another new front end?
Ford’s August 27, 2025 overview of the 2026 Maverick lists new Marsh Gray and Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat colors, the return of 2.0L EcoBoost front-wheel drive, and a standard Connectivity Package with a complimentary one-year subscription. Can you customize the grille area?
Ford Canada lists a 2025–26 Maverick lighted Ford Oval grille emblem, SKU VSZ6Z8213A. Ford describes it as a replacement for the factory badge, with a black illuminated oval, factory mounting points, plug-and-play installation without wire splicing, and an IP69K rating.
