It adds all-terrain tires, upgraded rear-drive hardware, protective equipment and revised suspension; it is an option package, not a separate Bronco Sport model. The two trim configurations differ in engine, power and terrain modes.
What the 2025 Bronco Sport Sasquatch package includes
Ford’s August 26, 2024 announcement describes Sasquatch as a set of off-road equipment for the Bronco Sport. Its key hardware includes:
- 235/65R17 Goodyear Territory All Terrain tires, described by Ford as 29 inches and developed for the Bronco Sport Sasquatch.
- A twin-clutch rear drive unit with differential-lock capability, plus 4WD lock.
- Bilstein rear shocks with position-sensitive damping and piggyback reservoirs.
- A front brush guard, steel skid plates, and modular, accessory-ready front and rear bumpers with steel bash plates.
- Four recovery points: two front tow hooks and two rear cast D-rings. Ford says they are designed to meet its off-road recovery requirements; it does not publish recovery limits in the cited announcement.
- Auxiliary switches.
These are manufacturer-listed features, not the result of an independent comparative test. Ford’s announcement is at Ford Media Center.
Outer Banks Sasquatch vs. Badlands Sasquatch
Both trims could be configured with Sasquatch for 2025, but they retain different engines and mode lists. The figures below come from Ford’s 2025 technical specifications; Ford rates horsepower and torque using premium fuel under SAE J1349. It specifies 87-octane minimum for both engines and recommends 91 octane or higher for the 2.0L.

Ford’s technical specifications are available in its 2025 Bronco Sport technical specifications. Ford’s launch announcement says Rally mode is standard on Badlands and Badlands Sasquatch, while the new Off-Road mode is standard across Bronco Sport models.
Which trim makes sense for your priorities?
Choose Outer Banks Sasquatch if
- You want the package’s tires, protection and rear-drive hardware with the 1.5L engine.
- The Outer Banks configuration’s listed modes—Normal, ECO, Sport, Slippery and Off-Road—cover your needs; Rally and Rock Crawl are not listed for it.
Choose Badlands Sasquatch if
- You want the 2.0L engine and its higher Ford-rated output.
- You want the additional Rally and Rock Crawl modes listed for this configuration, or value Ford’s stated suspension-travel figures.
These differences describe Ford’s specifications, not a claim that one trim is better for every route or driver. Ford’s ratings and feature descriptions do not substitute for a vehicle-specific evaluation of terrain, tires, load and driving conditions.

Price, timing and current availability
Ford’s August 2024 announcement said Sasquatch would be available early in 2025. The 2025 build page showed it as a package option for Outer Banks and Badlands, but neither that historical page nor Ford’s technical specifications establish a current 2026 option price, present orderability, dealer stock, incentives or local transaction price. Check a Ford dealer or Ford’s current configurator for today’s status; the historical page is Ford’s 2025 Bronco Sport build page.
What changed on the 2025 Bronco Sport beyond Sasquatch?
The 2025 model-year refresh also brought revised front and rear styling, a new grille and wheel designs, available deployable fender tie-downs, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a 13.2-inch center touchscreen, SYNC 4, SiriusXM with 360L, wireless charging and standard Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+. Those are broader 2025 Bronco Sport changes, not all Sasquatch-specific equipment. Ford outlined the refresh on January 6, 2025.

Replacing the Sasquatch tires
Ford identifies the factory Sasquatch tire as a 235/65R17 Goodyear Territory All Terrain. Before buying replacements, confirm the size, wheel compatibility, load and speed ratings, and exact fitment for the vehicle. The cited Ford materials do not establish a retailer, current tire price or independent tire-performance ranking.
