The gasoline 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is redesigned with three trims—LT, RS and ACTIV—each distinguished by its own exterior details and cabin treatments. Chevrolet’s official photos and model-year announcement show the key differences: three front-fascia designs, an 11-inch driver display beside an 11.3-inch infotainment screen, and a flexible rear cargo area. The Equinox EV is a separate electric model and is not covered here.
2025 Equinox exterior: what changes by trim
Chevrolet says the redesign has three trim-specific front fascia treatments. The details below describe manufacturer-announced equipment; an individual photo may show an option or a particular configuration, so identify what is actually visible before assigning a feature to a pictured vehicle.

Across the lineup, Chevrolet describes all-LED lighting, squared wheel openings and fender flares. The manufacturer says the 2025 model is 2.5 inches wider than its predecessor. Its design director described the generation as having a “broad-shouldered, athletic appearance.” Chevrolet’s January 23, 2024 announcement also includes the pictured Cacti Green ACTIV caption: “Preproduction model shown. Actual production model may vary.”
Interior pictures: screens, controls and materials
The redesigned dashboard centers on two displays: an 11-inch configurable driver information center and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen angled slightly toward the driver. Chevrolet says the infotainment display is more than 30% larger than the largest screen offered in the outgoing Equinox.

Look for the column-mounted electronic transmission range selector in cabin views. Moving the selector to the column leaves additional storage space beneath the infotainment screen. Chevrolet also describes textured materials, a standard six-speaker audio system and available wireless charging.
Cabin details identified by trim
- LT: Evotex seating is available.
- RS: Torch Red and Santorini Blue stitching, debossed RS logos on the front headrests, and a heated flat-bottom steering wheel.
- ACTIV: Maple Sugar and Black cabin theme with Evotex and sueded microfiber.
These are manufacturer-described trim treatments; do not assume a color, upholstery or optional feature is present in a particular photograph unless the vehicle or its caption establishes it.

Rear seat and cargo-area images
The second row folds in a 60/40 split, allowing one portion of the bench to fold while the other remains available for a passenger. Chevrolet lists 29.8 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seat and 63.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded. A hidden storage area sits beneath the cargo floor. Cargo and load capacity are limited by weight and its distribution.
Chevrolet also lists passenger volume of 104.3 cubic feet without a sunroof and 100.1 cubic feet with one. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements.

Dimensions and powertrain context
Chevrolet lists the 2025 Equinox at 183.2 inches long, 74.9 inches wide and 65.6 inches tall. Its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is rated by Chevrolet at 175 horsepower. The company lists 184 lb-ft of torque for front-wheel drive and 203 lb-ft for all-wheel drive; front-wheel-drive models use a continuously variable transmission, while all-wheel-drive models use an eight-speed automatic.
Chevrolet lists trailering capacity at 800 pounds for front-wheel drive and up to 1,500 pounds for all-wheel drive. Passenger, cargo and accessory weight can reduce that capacity; Chevrolet directs owners to the Owner’s Manual for application details.
