Chevrolet lists EPA-estimated range from 283 miles for the LT dual-motor AWD to 334 miles for the RS RWD, while the SS pairs 615 horsepower with a $60,600 starting price. Those are manufacturer-published figures—not a promise of real-world range or a local purchase price. Before buying, check the vehicle’s configuration, charging access and recall status by VIN.
2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV trims, prices and range
Chevrolet lists three trims for the U.S.-market 2025 Blazer EV: LT, RS and SS. The table combines Chevrolet’s published trim starting prices and EPA-estimated range with its battery and peak DC charging specifications. Prices are trim starting figures, not configuration-specific transaction quotes; actual dealer pricing can vary.
| Trim and configuration | Chevrolet-listed starting price | EPA-estimated range | Battery and peak DC charging |
|---|---|---|---|
| LT FWD | $44,600 | 312 miles | 85 kWh; up to 150 kW |
| LT dual-motor AWD | $44,600 trim starting figure | 283 miles | 85 kWh; up to 150 kW |
| RS RWD | $49,900 | 334 miles | 102 kWh; up to 190 kW |
| RS FWD | $49,900 trim starting figure | 312 miles | 85 kWh; up to 150 kW |
| SS AWD | $60,600 | 303 miles | 102 kWh; up to 190 kW |
These specifications are Chevrolet-published; the LT AWD figures are also identified in the 2025 GM Envolve feature sheet. Chevrolet says the 2025 LT and RS use an 85 kWh battery except for the RS RWD, while the SS and RWD configuration use 102 kWh. All configurations list 11.5 kW Level 2 AC capability.
Which Blazer EV trim makes the most sense?
LT: lower starting price, with an AWD choice
The LT is the entry point at Chevrolet’s $44,600 listed starting price. FWD is rated at 312 miles; dual-motor AWD is rated at 283 miles. Choose the AWD configuration if that drivetrain is important to you, while recognizing the published range estimate is lower than the FWD version.

RS: the range leader is rear-wheel drive
The RS RWD has the Blazer EV’s longest listed range: 334 miles. The RS FWD is rated at 312 miles. Chevrolet lists the RS starting price at $49,900, but the trim starting figure should not be read as a quote for every drivetrain configuration.
SS: performance comes at a premium
The SS is the performance trim, with AWD, a 303-mile EPA-estimated range and a $60,600 listed starting price. Chevrolet specifies 615 hp and estimates 0–60 mph in 3.4 seconds when Wide Open Watts is engaged. That acceleration claim and the trim’s price make the SS a choice for buyers who value performance over the maximum published range or lowest entry cost.
Whether the SS is worth the additional cost depends on that priority: Chevrolet lists it $10,700 above the RS starting figure and $16,000 above the LT starting figure. The supplied SS road test is useful for understanding one reviewer’s experience, but it does not establish how other trims drive.

What range and charging to expect
Chevrolet’s EPA-estimated figures vary by drivetrain, from 283 miles for LT AWD to 334 miles for RS RWD. EPA estimates are useful for comparing configurations, not guarantees for a particular trip. Temperature, speed, terrain, climate-control use, driving style and vehicle condition can change actual range.
Chevrolet lists peak public DC charging capability of up to 150 kW for LT and RS FWD configurations, and up to 190 kW for SS and RWD configurations. Those are maximum charging-power specifications, not promises that a vehicle will sustain that rate or reach a particular state of charge in a fixed time. Chevrolet notes that charging time depends on the vehicle and battery condition, charger output, settings, temperature and other limits.
Using Tesla Superchargers
Chevrolet says the Blazer EV can use compatible Tesla Supercharger locations with a GM-approved NACS DC adapter. Confirm current station compatibility, activation requirements and genuine adapter availability before planning a trip or buying an adapter; access and network availability can change.

Home charging and vehicle-to-home capability
Chevrolet describes available Level 2 home charging and lists the GM Energy PowerShift Charger paired with the Vehicle-to-Home Enablement kit as a way to provide V2H capability with a compatible GM EV. The charger, enablement kit and installation are not included in the vehicle’s listed starting price. Check equipment compatibility and installation needs with Chevrolet or a qualified installer.

What an independent SS road test does—and does not—show
Tom’s Guide reviewer John Velasco tested a 2025 Blazer EV SS for one week. He reported driving 547.2 miles and averaging 3 mi/kWh. Those figures describe one publication’s test vehicle and conditions; they are not a controlled range test, a prediction for other climates or routes, or evidence about long-term battery durability. The review also reported a Level 1 charging rate of 2.78 miles per hour.
Rank #4
Velasco described the SS’s acceleration and handling positively and noted a quiet cabin, a small rear window and the high price as drawbacks. His statement, “I drove the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer SS farther than any other EV I’ve tested in the last year,” is his own comparison of his test experience, not an objective ranking of electric SUVs.
Chevrolet reproduces a Kelley Blue Book comment that calls standard Super Cruise the SS’s best feature and describes its lane changes and operation favorably. That is Kelley Blue Book’s quoted opinion, not a regulatory safety assessment. Driver-assistance features have operating limits; consult the owner’s manual for the specific vehicle.

NHTSA recall 25V433 covers certain 2024–2025 Blazer EVs. In its report submitted August 12, 2025, NHTSA listed 10,368 potentially involved 2025 vehicles produced from April 16, 2024, through January 31, 2025. A rear parking-brake wiring harness may be damaged or corroded, creating a risk of unintended parking-brake actuation or loss of parking-brake function. NHTSA says vehicles built after January 31, 2025, have a redesigned harness and are not affected by this recall.

The remedy described by NHTSA is dealer inspection and rerouting with anti-abrasive tape, or harness replacement if damage is found. VINs became searchable June 25, 2025. Do not rely on model year or build date alone: check the VIN with NHTSA’s recall lookup and Chevrolet, then confirm the remedy was completed.
For a used Blazer EV, check the vehicle’s service and warranty records as well as recall status. Chevrolet lists a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and an 8-year/100,000-mile battery limited warranty. Coverage for an individual vehicle depends on the warranty terms, ownership and in-service date; verify the applicable booklet and vehicle records.
Practical details before you buy
- Chevrolet says the Blazer EV has no front trunk (frunk). Its published maximum cargo capacity is 59.1 cubic feet; confirm how the space works for your passenger and cargo needs.
- Compare the exact drivetrain shown on the vehicle’s window sticker with the range you want. “LT,” “RS” or “SS” alone does not identify every range difference.
- Ask the dealer for the vehicle’s VIN, recall remedy status, warranty in-service date and configuration-specific price before making a decision.
See Chevrolet’s 2025 Blazer EV model information for its current published trim, range, charging and ownership details. Chevrolet’s figures and availability can change; confirm specifications for the vehicle you are considering.
