These manufacturer specifications and launch-price details come from Toyota’s 2024 Sienna announcement, published September 19, 2023 and updated December 19, 2023. Its figures are Toyota’s claims and estimates, not independent test results.
Powertrain, fuel economy and AWD
Every U.S. 2024 Sienna uses Toyota’s 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine and Toyota Hybrid System II. The hybrid system produces 245 total system horsepower. The battery recharges while driving, so Toyota says the vehicle does not need to be plugged in.
Toyota estimates 36 mpg combined for FWD and 35 mpg combined for AWD. Those are manufacturer estimates; actual fuel economy varies with driving, conditions and vehicle use.

How the AWD system works
Toyota’s electronic on-demand AWD uses an independent electric motor at the rear rather than a conventional mechanical transfer case. Toyota says the system can direct up to 80% of torque to the rear wheels during off-the-line starts, with a stated front-to-rear torque distribution range from 100:0 to 20:80 under different conditions. AWD is available across the grades and standard on Woodland Edition.
Trims and notable equipment
The six grades are LE, XLE, XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited and Platinum. Features vary by grade, package and drivetrain, so confirm the exact vehicle’s build sheet rather than assuming an item is standard throughout the lineup. Toyota’s announcement provides the LE FWD starting MSRP but does not provide a complete grade-by-grade price ladder in accessible text.
LE and XLE
The LE is the entry grade. Toyota says the LE and XLE received darkened chrome-accented headlights for 2024. An eight-seat layout is available on the LE and some XLE configurations, using a stowable center seat in the second row. Toyota Audio is listed as standard on LE and Toyota Audio Plus as standard on XLE.

XSE and XSE Premium
The XSE is a sport-oriented grade, and Toyota highlighted the XSE Premium package as a 2024 addition. The package includes leather seating, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, orange cabin accent stitching, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column with memory, a 7-inch multi-information display, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated side mirrors with blind-spot monitoring, reverse tilt and puddle lamps. Toyota also lists a darker finish for XSE AWD wheels.
Woodland Edition
Woodland Edition is the outdoors-oriented Sienna, not an off-road vehicle. Toyota lists standard electronic on-demand AWD, added ground clearance, roof rails with cross bars, a 1,500-watt inverter with a 120V AC outlet, and a tow hitch with a stated 3,500-pound towing capability. It is a seven-seat configuration with second-row Super-Long-Slide captain’s chairs.
Limited and Platinum
Limited and Platinum are the upper grades in the lineup. Toyota says second-row ottomans are standard on both. The Platinum includes a 10-inch color head-up display. A digital rear-view mirror, rear entertainment display and other equipment are trim-dependent or optional; check the individual vehicle’s window sticker or build information.

Seating, cargo room and cabin technology
Toyota reports 33.5 cubic feet of cargo volume with all seats in place, 75.2 cubic feet behind the second row when the third row is folded, and 101.0 cubic feet behind the front seats. Published legroom is 39.9 inches in the second row and 38.7 inches in the third row.
Some seven-seat models have second-row captain’s chairs that slide 25 inches, allowing the row to move forward or back for passenger comfort and access. The LE and some XLE configurations can seat eight with a stowable second-row center seat. Seating layout and second-row amenities depend on the particular configuration.
Infotainment and convenience
Toyota lists a 9-inch touchscreen across its audio systems, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and seven USB ports. Toyota Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation is listed as standard on XSE, Woodland, Limited and Platinum. A 12-speaker JBL system is standard on Woodland, Limited and Platinum and available on XLE and XSE.

An 11.6-inch rear entertainment display and digital rear-view mirror are optional on certain grades. Toyota lists a 1,500-watt inverter as available on XLE and above. Connected-service trials have limited terms; Toyota says subscriptions are required after trials. Confirm which equipment and services are included on the specific vehicle.
Safety and driver assistance
Toyota says every 2024 Sienna includes Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, with pre-collision detection with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with lane trace assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, cyclist detection and road-sign recognition. Toyota also lists blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert as standard across the Sienna lineup and says the vehicle has 10 airbags. These are Toyota’s equipment claims, not an independent crash-test rating.
Historical launch pricing and warranty
Toyota announced a starting MSRP of $37,185 for the LE FWD. The announcement explicitly says the MSRP excludes a $1,395 Dealer Processing and Handling fee. Both figures are historical launch details for model year 2024, not current used-car prices, live dealer offers, negotiated transaction prices or an out-the-door total. The announcement does not establish current market value or accessible prices for every trim.
Toyota’s announcement describes a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty, 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain coverage, eight-year/100,000-mile hybrid-system coverage and ten-year/150,000-mile hybrid-battery coverage, subject to Toyota’s stated terms. ToyotaCare is described as scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, plus two years of roadside assistance with unlimited mileage. For a specific used Sienna, check the applicable warranty booklet, vehicle eligibility and in-service date.
Roof accessories and fitment
Toyota names Yakima rooftop carriers, cross bars and bike racks as accessory examples for the fourth-generation Sienna. That does not confirm that a particular accessory fits every 2024 configuration. Before buying, verify compatibility with the exact model year, trim, roof rails and carrier using the accessory maker’s fitment information.
