What changed for 2024?
Mercedes-Benz refreshed the GLE range with revised front styling and lighting, updated taillights, and new paint and interior choices. The GLE 53 also gained standard equipment that included:
- AMG Performance exhaust
- Burmester surround sound with Dolby Atmos and sound personalization
- MBUX augmented-video navigation
- Surround-view camera with a transparent-hood view
- Panoramic sunroof
- Nappa leather
- Heated and ventilated front seats
Equipment can vary by market and configuration. For a particular used vehicle, verify its build sheet and fitted features rather than relying only on a general model-year equipment list. Mercedes-Benz describes the refresh and additions in its 2024 GLE announcement.

Distinguish the 2024 mild hybrid from the later plug-in hybrid
The 2024 GLE 53 Coupe described here uses 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance; it is not the later GLE 53 HYBRID Coupe plug-in-hybrid model. The later vehicle has a different powertrain and output, so its specifications or price should not be applied to a 2024 example. Mercedes-Benz’s current GLE 53 Coupe listing is for the later hybrid offering, while the 2024 owner’s manual identifies the GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe variant.
