Laredo anchors the gas range. It is the place to start if you want the core Grand Cherokee rather than a higher trim’s additional comfort or premium appointments. Confirm the equipment on the specific vehicle: package availability can change what it includes.

Overland
Overland moves toward more upscale appointments and available technology. It is also one of the gas trims identified for certain driver-assistance features, subject to drivetrain and engine restrictions described below.

Summit
Summit adds further premium equipment. As with Overland, do not assume a driver-assistance feature is present simply because the vehicle carries the Summit badge; check the drivetrain, engine and equipment listing.
4xe variants
Limited 4xe, Trailhawk 4xe, Overland 4xe and Summit 4xe use a 2.0L turbo plug-in hybrid powertrain. Trailhawk 4xe is the off-road-oriented option in this branch. The buyer guide lists different package and equipment availability by model code, so compare the precise 4xe configuration rather than transferring a gas-trim feature list to it.

What is the difference between the gas and 4xe powertrains?
The gas configurations identified in Jeep’s buyer guide use a 3.6L Pentastar V6 with an eight-speed automatic. The 4xe models use a 2.0L turbo plug-in hybrid powertrain. Do not apply gas-model fuel economy, equipment assumptions or pricing to a 4xe, and do not mix either two-row version with the three-row Grand Cherokee L.
Jeep lists 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined for the listed 2024 Grand Cherokee 3.6L V6 configuration on its fuel-efficiency page. Those figures are for the gas V6 configuration, not the 4xe or Grand Cherokee L.

Four-wheel drive availability depends on the exact trim and configuration. Check the vehicle’s model code or build sheet rather than assuming every trim has the same drivetrain choices.

Jeep’s general inventory disclaimer says displayed MSRP excludes destination, taxes, title and registration, and that prices and offers may change; it is not a verified 2024 trim-price source.
Which driver-assistance features are available?
Availability varies with trim, drivetrain and engine. Jeep says Active Driving Assist is available on Overland 4×4 and Summit 4×4. Hands-Free Active Driving Assist has narrower availability: Overland 4×4 and Summit 4×4 equipped with the 3.6L Pentastar V6. These are configuration-specific statements, not guarantees for every Overland or Summit.
Jeep describes a required connected-service package with a three-year trial followed by a paid subscription. Check the terms for the particular vehicle and understand that these systems require the driver’s attention. How to compare two specific vehicles
- Confirm the vehicle variant. Verify that it is the two-row Grand Cherokee, not the Grand Cherokee L, and identify whether it is gas or 4xe.

- Check the model-code equipment column. Use Jeep’s 2024 buyer guide to see which features are standard and which depend on an available package.
- Verify advertised technology and assistance features. For Active Driving Assist or Hands-Free Active Driving Assist, confirm the specific engine and 4×4 configuration as well as the connected-service terms.
- Request a 2024-specific price breakdown. Ask for the base MSRP and destination charge, then itemize options, taxes, title and registration. Keep any current offer separate from the original model-year price.
Are accessories included with a trim?
Not necessarily. The 2024 buyer guide identifies Mopar slush mats within an available equipment group, which does not establish that they are standard on every Grand Cherokee. If buying floor mats or liners separately, confirm fitment for the 2024 model year, two-row body, and the vehicle’s configuration. No particular aftermarket accessory is established here as tested.
