The 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate is equipped for long-distance comfort, and its Super Cruise system can provide hands-free driving assistance on compatible roads. But the available information does not establish what happened on a particular drive to Cape Cod: route conditions, system use, driver interventions, and trip fuel economy are not documented. Here is what GMC specifies for the SUV and what a road-trip account can responsibly say about the technology.
What makes the Denali Ultimate a road-trip-focused Yukon?
GMC’s 2024 Yukon brochure lists a 6.2L V8 paired with a 10-speed automatic in the Denali Ultimate, along with standard four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. The cabin has three rows of full-grain leather seating. Up front, the 16-way power seats include heating, ventilation, and massage; an 18-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system is also listed.
Those are equipment specifications, not proof of how comfortable a particular Cape Cod trip felt. AutoTrader.ca’s review of a tested 2024 Yukon Denali Ultimate describes the air suspension as absorbing road irregularities, a qualitative assessment from that reviewer rather than a measured ride-comfort result.
Does Super Cruise work on a drive to Cape Cod?
Super Cruise is hands-free driver assistance for compatible roads, not autonomous driving. GMC says it uses cameras, sensors, GPS, and map data, and includes an in-cabin driver-attention system. Whether it can be used on a specific Cape Cod route depends on whether the roads being driven are compatible and whether the vehicle has an active plan or trial. The available trip information does not establish the route, compatibility, or how the system behaved during an actual drive, so it cannot support a claim that Super Cruise was available for the entire journey.
GMC’s 2024 brochure says the Denali Ultimate includes a three-year Super Cruise subscription. After that initial period, an eligible OnStar Super Cruise plan must be purchased. The brochure also says Automatic Lane Change and Lane Change on Demand are unavailable while trailering. A driver towing a trailer should not expect those lane-change functions to operate.

What fuel economy should you expect?
AutoTrader.ca lists 16.6/13.0/15.0 L/100 km city/highway/combined for the 2024 Yukon Denali Ultimate it tested. That is third-party review context, not a Cape Cod trip measurement or a fuel-economy result established by GMC’s brochure. Actual consumption on a particular drive cannot be inferred without the trip’s conditions and recorded fuel use.

GMC Canada’s 2024 Yukon build page lists an all-weather cargo mat. A cargo liner can help protect the load area from luggage and road-trip mess, but that listing does not establish fit for every body style or configuration. Confirm compatibility with the seller or GMC before buying.
