The 2024-model-year Aston Martin DBS is represented by the DBS 770 Ultimate, the outgoing DBS generation’s final limited edition. Aston Martin announced the 770 Ultimate in January 2023; the 2024 model-year label is not its announcement date. The car pairs a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 with 770 PS, an eight-speed automatic and a 211 mph manufacturer-claimed top speed. Production was capped at 499 cars, and Aston Martin said they had all sold ahead of release.
What is the 2024 Aston Martin DBS?
For this model year, the relevant DBS is the DBS 770 Ultimate: a final-edition version of the outgoing DBS, offered as a Coupe or a Volante convertible. Aston Martin announced it in January 2023. In a March 2024 corporate memorandum, the company described DBS production as ending and said a replacement flagship was expected in the second half of 2024. The announcement timing and the 2024 model-year designation are therefore distinct.
It is important not to confuse the 770 Ultimate with the broader DBS range specification. Aston Martin’s corporate memorandum describes the DBS range engine at 715 bhp and 900 Nm; for the 770 Ultimate itself, Aston Martin specifies 770 PS and 900 Nm.
2024 DBS 770 Ultimate specifications
| Specification | DBS 770 Ultimate |
|---|---|
| Engine | 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 |
| Maximum output | 770 PS at 6,500 rpm, per Aston Martin |
| Maximum torque | 900 Nm from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm, per Aston Martin |
| Transmission | Eight-speed ZF automatic with edition-specific calibration |
| Differential | Mechanical limited-slip differential |
| Top speed | 211 mph, per Aston Martin |
| Production | 499 total: 300 Coupes and 199 Volantes |
These are Aston Martin’s published 2023 specifications for the 770 Ultimate. PS and bhp are different units: the manufacturer’s 770 PS figure should not be relabeled as 770 bhp. US catalog data reports 759 hp, while the separate 715 bhp figure in the corporate memorandum refers to the DBS range description rather than the 770 Ultimate.

Coupe or Volante: what is the difference?
The Coupe has a fixed roof; the Volante is the convertible for open-air driving. Aston Martin allocated 300 cars to the Coupe and 199 to the Volante, so the Coupe was the more numerous body style in the limited run. The available specifications here do not establish a matched comparison of their weight, acceleration or original pricing.
When comparing individual cars, consider the roof format alongside the specific car’s options and specification, condition, mileage, service history, provenance and dated asking price. Production count alone does not establish which car is the better purchase.

Features and equipment
Chassis, brakes and wheels
Aston Martin lists carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, with 410 mm front discs and 360 mm rear discs. The edition’s 21-inch wheels are paired with Pirelli P Zero tires in 265/35 R21 front and 305/30 R21 rear sizes.
For replacement tires, confirm the exact tire specification—including SKU, load and speed ratings—against the car’s wheel configuration and local fitment guidance. A matching size alone is not enough to establish that a particular tire listing is suitable.

Cabin and exterior details
Standard Sports Plus seats are trimmed in semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, with a fluted quilt and perforation pattern. Carbon-fiber gearshift paddles add a cabin-specific detail. Outside, the 770 Ultimate has carbon-fiber elements and a distinct rear diffuser, alongside its dedicated 21-inch wheel design.
How much does a 2024 Aston Martin DBS cost?
CarGurus lists an original MSRP of $415,960 for a 2024 DBS 770 Ultimate Volante. This is third-party catalog MSRP data, not a current asking price or a record of what a car actually sold for. CarGurus also displays a $387,600 MSRP figure on its trim page, but the available listing context does not reliably identify the trim well enough to treat it as a Coupe-versus-Volante comparison.

Aston Martin said all 499 cars had sold ahead of release, so buyers are generally looking at individual secondary-market cars rather than a fresh factory allocation. The figures above do not establish today’s market value. A defensible current price depends on geography, condition, mileage, service history, options and provenance; current regional asking prices and completed transaction values are not established here.

The 770 Ultimate’s 499-car production run comprised 300 Coupes and 199 Volantes. Aston Martin reported that the cars were sold ahead of release. In March 2024, the company described DBS production as ending, with a replacement flagship expected in the second half of that year. That expectation is what the memorandum said at the time; it is not a statement here about the replacement’s eventual launch or present availability.
