Its model-year refresh brought revised engine and display details, but price depends on the country and listing: a German dealer page shows €10,999 including VAT, plus €450 in ancillary costs, while KTM UK had not confirmed a price at launch in November 2022.
How much horsepower does the 2023 KTM 790 Adventure have?
KTM specifies a 799 cc LC8c parallel-twin engine producing 95 hp at 8,000 rpm and 88 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent dynamometer measurements. KTM says the engine remained Euro 5 compliant. KTM’s 2023 launch announcement describes revised throttle bodies and a knock-control sensor intended to improve combustion behavior and tolerance of lower-octane fuel.
The UK launch material lists a 43 mm WP APEX fork, with 200 mm of travel front and rear; rear-shock preload is adjustable. The engine acts as a stressed member in a CroMo frame. KTM quotes a potential 450 km (279-mile) range from the 20 L tank, a manufacturer claim rather than a measured real-world result. KTM UK’s model announcement is the source for those UK-market details.
A German dealer specification listing additionally gives 199 kg dry weight, seat-height settings of 860 mm and 840 mm, and 233 mm of ground clearance. These figures come from that regional dealer listing, not a universal specification sheet; dry weight should not be read as a ready-to-ride or wet weight. The German listing also gives the 20 L tank and 200 mm travel figures.

What changed on the 2023 KTM 790 Adventure?
KTM presented the 2023 update as a rideability refresh. It says rotating mass increased by 20%, which it claims makes the motorcycle more stable at steady speed and more composed in corners without sacrificing agility. That explanation is KTM’s engineering claim, not an independently documented road-test result. Revised throttle bodies and knock control were also part of the engine update.
The motorcycle received a new front mask and taller windscreen, full LED lighting, and a brighter 5-inch TFT display with an ambient-light-responsive screen, redesigned menus, and revised graphics. KTM says smartphone connection via KTMConnect adds navigation and travel features. The launch materials identify Pirelli Scorpion STR tires, whose large tread blocks reflect their off-road focus.

KTM lists an aluminum engine protector as standard in its UK announcement. Single-piece and heated seat units were described as optional PowerParts accessories. Optional electronic functions should not be assumed to be included with every bike or purchase price: the launch material describes a DEMO function for optional riding extras over the first 1,500 km (930 miles).
How much does a 2023 KTM 790 Adventure cost?
There is no single price established here that applies to every country or to today’s used market. A German KTM dealer listing displays €10,999 including 19% VAT, with €450 in ancillary costs shown separately. That is Germany-specific listing evidence; its original price date, current unit availability, and relevance to a used 2023 motorcycle are not established.

At launch on 30 November 2022, KTM UK said the model was expected from April 2023 and that pricing was still to be confirmed. That statement records the UK position at the time, not current availability or a current UK price. For an actual purchase, distinguish a new-bike dealer asking price from the original suggested retail price and from a used-bike valuation, and confirm which taxes and fees are included.
What does the 2023 KTM 790 Adventure look like?

Where was the 2023 KTM 790 Adventure made?
KTM says the model was redesigned in Mattighofen, Austria, and produced in China by CFMOTO under KTM supervision. That distinction separates the motorcycle’s design origin from its production location.
