For a buyer viewing a particular SRT, useful details to compare in its photos and equipment list include the fascia, wheels, hood extractors, brake calipers, cabin controls, seats and cargo area. Photos alone cannot establish mechanical condition or whether a vehicle has been modified.

The SRT makes sense for someone who wants V8 performance, strong acceleration and Grand Cherokee utility in one vehicle, and is willing to accept fuel consumption and a firmer ride. Car and Driver notes that the more powerful Trackhawk was a separate variant; it should not be confused with the SRT reviewed here.
