The 2020 Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour is a touring-focused version of the 1260 S, combining Ducati’s 1,262 cc Testastretta DVT engine with travel equipment such as panniers, heated grips and a center stand. Ducati’s published specifications are useful for identifying the model, but equipment and warranty details can vary by market and do not establish the condition or service history of an individual used motorcycle.
What the Grand Tour adds
Ducati presents the Grand Tour as a long-distance touring variant of the Multistrada 1260 S. Its listed equipment includes side panniers, a center stand, heated grips, additional LED lights, TPMS (tire-pressure monitoring) and a premium Grand Tour seat. The standard-equipment list also names cruise control, Ducati Quick Shift up/down, a 5-inch color TFT display, a hands-free key and fuel cap, a full LED headlamp, and the Ducati Multimedia System.
Electronic systems listed by Ducati include riding and power modes, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, cornering lights, Vehicle Hold Control and Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evo. Confirm the equipment on the specific bike: market specification may differ, and parts can be missing or changed on a used example.

Maintenance intervals and records
Ducati lists routine service at 15,000 km (9,000 miles) or 12 months, and Desmo service at 30,000 km (18,000 miles). These are the published intervals, not evidence that a particular motorcycle received its work on time. When evaluating a used bike, ask for invoices or a service record and compare dates and odometer readings with the schedule for its VIN, model year and market.

Ducati’s manuals, genuine-parts and maintenance-schedules page provides model-selectable documentation. Use the owner manual and maintenance schedule for the exact market and year rather than relying only on a general specification page. Ducati notes that the documents supplied with a bike include specifications and details about main service interventions.

- Identity and market: Match the VIN and model year to the documentation. Ducati’s model page is Spanish-market material; equipment or specification may not match every country.
- Included touring equipment: Check for the panniers, center stand, heated grips, additional lights, TPMS and Grand Tour seat, and confirm that they operate as expected.
- Service history: Look for dated records around the 15,000 km / 12-month routine-service and 30,000 km Desmo-service milestones. Ask an authorized Ducati dealer to help confirm the correct schedule for the bike.
- Tires and fitment: Ducati lists Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires in 120/70 ZR 17 front and 190/55 ZR 17 rear sizes. Check the tire sidewalls, condition, ratings and wheel fitment on the actual motorcycle before ordering replacements.
- Warranty and campaigns: Ducati lists a 48-month unlimited-kilometre warranty in its model specification. That historical figure does not show that a 2020 used bike remains covered. Ask Ducati or an authorized dealer to verify coverage and any applicable campaign history using the VIN and first-sale details.
Ducati Korea separately lists a “Multistrada 1260 Gran Tour_MY20” owner manual dated 2020-09-09: MY20 manual listing. This is a useful model-year reference, but owners should still select documentation appropriate to their market.
