Lamborghini introduced it in 2014 for the 2015 Super Trofeo season, with rear-wheel drive, a 620 CV V10 and race-specific chassis, aero and electronics. The manufacturer lists 180 produced.
What is the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo?
Lamborghini describes the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo as the first racing version of its 2014 road super sports car. It was developed for the brand’s one-make Super Trofeo series, with a 2015 track debut planned across the Europe, Asia and North America championships. The “620-2” name reflects the launch specification’s 620 CV output and two-wheel, rear-drive layout. Lamborghini’s heritage entry lists 180 vehicles produced.
It should not be confused with the Huracán GT3, which Lamborghini presented as a separate car for GT3 competition. The Super Trofeo’s intended context was the one-make series, not road use or GT3 competition.
How is it different from a road Huracán?
The Super Trofeo was engineered around competition rather than ordinary road driving. Its hybrid carbon-fiber and aluminum chassis, composite bodywork, sequential racing gearbox, slick tires, adjustable aerodynamic package and race electronics define it as a dedicated racer. Lamborghini says Dallara Engineering collaborated on the body and aerodynamics; the chassis geometry was modified to accommodate an improved front radiator and the gearbox at the rear.
#1 Best Overall
- 【SIZE】1/36 scale model car is small and exquisite, which can be collected as a whole set without taking up too much space.
- 【High-Quality Materials and Strong Pull Back】 The car is made of zinc alloy, plastic parts, rubber tires. Our products have a CPC certificate, which complies with all US laws and regulations; no harm to children. Install a strong pull-back device that can slide 20 meters (65.6ft) on a smooth table.
- 【Open Door Design and Realistic Interior】 the front door of the car is designed separately, the double door can be opened; the interior decoration is very realistic, which is very good for children.
- 【Best Gifts Toys】Pull back car is very easy to use for 3 years old. It is a good decompression toy for adults in the office.
- 【Quality after-sales service】We will provide quality pre-sales and after-sales service for the toy cars purchased in our store. You can contact us if you have any questions.
The manufacturer’s launch materials describe race equipment and specifications, but do not establish road legality, road-car fitment, or compatibility with road-Huracán parts. Its published figures should therefore be read as historical competition-car specifications, not as a guide to road-car trims or present-day replacement parts.
Engine, transmission and weight
The 20 August 2014 launch release lists a longitudinal, naturally aspirated 5,204 cc V10 producing 620 CV at 8,250 rpm and 570 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The release’s prose also says “620 hp”; its technical table and Lamborghini’s heritage entry use 620 CV. Those unit labels are retained here rather than silently treated as interchangeable.

| Specification | Manufacturer-published detail |
|---|---|
| Engine | Longitudinal naturally aspirated V10, 5,204 cc |
| Maximum output | 620 CV at 8,250 rpm |
| Maximum torque | 570 Nm at 6,500 rpm |
| Drivetrain | Rear-wheel drive (2WD) |
| Gearbox | Six-speed sequential Xtrac racing gearbox |
| Clutch | Three-disc racing clutch with electric actuator |
| Weight | 1,270 kg dry; the launch release also specifies 1,270 kg without fuel |
| Weight distribution | 42% front, 58% rear |
| Wheelbase | 2,620 mm |
| Fuel tank | 118 L |
The 1,270 kg figure is a dry, without-fuel figure, not a ready-to-race weight with fuel and other operating loads. Lamborghini also reports 45% greater torsional rigidity than the previous Gallardo Super Trofeo.
Chassis, aerodynamics and race systems
Chassis and body
The car uses a hybrid carbon-fiber and aluminum structure with composite bodywork. Lamborghini’s launch release credits Dallara Engineering with the body and aerodynamic development. The revised chassis geometry made room for the improved front radiator and rear-mounted racing gearbox.

Aerodynamics
The listed package includes front and rear diffusers, adjustable front intake ducts and a rear wing with ten positions. Lamborghini’s 2014 release claimed 15% less drag, 43% more downforce and 69% greater aerodynamic efficiency. These are manufacturer-reported comparisons, not independent test results.
Controls and suspension
The launch specification names a Motec M182 controller, nine traction-control positions and Bosch Motorsport ABS with 12 settings. Suspension is by double wishbones, adjustable anti-roll bars and Ohlins two-way dampers. These details describe the launch-era specification; they are not a current setup or parts recommendation.

Wheels, tires and brakes
Lamborghini listed Pirelli tires sized 305/660-18 at the front and 315/680-18 at the rear, mounted on 11 x 18-inch front and 12 x 18-inch rear rims. Braking is by Brembo racing steel discs measuring 380 x 35 mm front and 355 x 32 mm rear, with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
Safety equipment
The launch release describes a 43 kg roll cage, FIA-spec seat options, a six-point safety belt and a fire extinguisher. The release does not identify a single seat configuration as universal across every car.

What do the name and layout tell you?
“LP 620-2” points to the manufacturer’s stated 620 CV output and rear-wheel-drive configuration. Lamborghini said the rear-drive layout was chosen to give drivers experience with that traction arrangement. The model’s one-make-series role explains why its gearbox, tires, brakes, aero and electronic controls are described as race systems rather than standard road-car equipment.
