The 2010 BRABUS E V12 Black Baron was a ten-car, W212-based Mercedes-Benz E-Class super-sedan, not a factory Mercedes model. BRABUS gave it a 6.3-liter V12 rated at 800 hp and 1,100 Nm, with a quoted 0–100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds. Its matte-black bodywork and distinctive rear-wheel covers were part of an aerodynamic package, not just styling.
What was the 2010 BRABUS E V12 Black Baron?
The Black Baron was BRABUS’s high-performance, four-door interpretation of the W212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Contemporary launch coverage described a planned run of ten cars, while BRABUS’s own historical account calls the fourth-generation E V12 “One of Ten.” BRABUS says production was completed in September 2009 and records the car’s official world premiere at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The name can cause confusion with the E V12 Coupe. That was a separate two-door model shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, not another body style or name for the Black Baron sedan. E V12 Coupe coverage.
Engine, power and torque
BRABUS lists the sedan’s engine as a 6.3-liter V12 producing 588 kW / 800 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque. The company’s historical page also gives the E V12’s acceleration and speed figures. BRABUS specifications.

Period reports describe a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo enlarged to 6.3 liters. They give the engine’s peak torque as 1,420 Nm, but say it was electronically limited to 1,100 Nm in the car. That distinction explains why the higher figure appears in some accounts even though BRABUS’s listed vehicle specification is 1,100 Nm. contemporary report; period coverage.

The top-speed figures use different bases: BRABUS published a calculated 370 km/h, while contemporary reporting said the car was electronically limited to 350 km/h and could exceed 370 km/h without the limiter. The latter should not be read as a verified test result.

Bodywork, aerodynamics and chassis
The Black Baron’s matte-black finish and revised bodywork gave it a distinctive look, but the most unusual feature—the rear-wheel covers—was described in period coverage as aerodynamic. BRABUS also fitted a fully adjustable sports suspension, stabilizers and a high-performance brake system, according to contemporary accounts. The documented production description, manufacturer specifications and period reports establish the Black Baron’s identity and headline performance claims.
