Its gearing table also distinguishes between 450 and 530 models and between standard and SIX DAYS variants. Consult the relevant entry in the manual rather than applying a single gearing figure to every 2008 bike.
The manual’s covered chassis data lists 300 mm of front suspension travel and 335 mm at the rear. Those figures alone do not provide a full 450-versus-530 comparison: the available specifications do not establish displacement-specific engine output or weight differences.

How to check parts for a used bike
The 2008 KTM 450 EXC-R parts-catalog page lists the combined “OWNERS MANUAL 450/530 08” under part number 3211254, as well as an on-board tool kit. That listing establishes those catalog entries; it does not prove that other parts fit every 450 or 530, market version or modified bike.
- Read the bike’s exact model and market designation. Distinguish EXC-R from XCR-W and note the market and SIX DAYS designation where applicable.
- Match the year and designation in the manual or parts fiche. Do not assume a listing for a 2008 450 EXC-R applies unchanged to a 530 or another regional version.
- Check the motorcycle’s present condition and modifications. A used example may no longer have its original components or equipment.
