Where the CRF80F fits
Honda described the CRF80F as an intermediate size in its off-road lineup, between the smaller CRF70F and larger CRF100F. The company’s 2007 announcement said the model had been sold in the United States since 2004 before announcing Japanese domestic sales. That positioning can help when comparing the model family, but it is not a rider-fit guarantee: inseam, suspension condition, setup, and the particular market version all matter. Honda’s June 21, 2007 announcement said the smaller wheels relative to the CRF100F improve ground reach and that the CRF80F is 3.7 kg lighter in dry weight; those are manufacturer comparisons, not a substitute for evaluating a particular rider and motorcycle.

The following figures are Honda’s published specifications in its 2007 Japanese-market announcement. They may not describe every market version or an individual motorcycle as it exists today.

These are original published specifications, not a measurement or inspection of a used bike. Verify the year, market version, tire markings, and condition on the motorcycle itself when fitment or replacement sizing matters.

Is a 2008 Honda CRF80F street legal?
Honda identifies the CRF80F as an off-road-use-only motorcycle. In the Japanese-market context of its announcement, Honda said it could not be used on public roads or registered for a number plate. Do not assume it is street legal: registration, equipment, and road-use rules vary by jurisdiction, so check the rules that apply where the bike would be used. The 2008 CRF80F owner’s manual also identifies the machine as off-road use only.
Manual and maintenance guidance
The model-matched 2008 owner’s manual is the primary reference for operating, safety, and scheduled-maintenance information. Honda cautions that some maintenance work involves more extensive procedures and may require special training, tools, or equipment. The manual recommends dealer service for those operations unless the owner has advanced mechanical skills and the necessary tools. For owner-performed repairs or replacements, Honda recommends Honda Genuine Parts or equivalent parts.

The manual notes that maintenance should be more frequent in wet or dusty riding conditions. Consult the complete manual for the correct market edition before relying on specific intervals, capacities, or adjustment values; do not infer those details from a brief maintenance excerpt.

Finding parts for a CRF80F8
Model-specific parts catalogues identify the 2008 machine as CRF80F8 and provide engine and chassis diagrams. They include maintenance-related categories such as spark plug, air filter, and drain-plug gasket. Use the 2008 Honda CRF80F8 parts catalogue or the 2008 CRF80F OEM parts finder to identify candidates, then verify the model code and exact part number against your motorcycle before buying. A shared model name alone does not establish that a part fits every year or market variant.
