The available evidence supports 13 named examples—not 15—and they are at very different stages: a product lineup, a Japan-only corporate mobility offer announced by Honda, company development programs, and aircraft concepts. None should be treated as proof that all these vehicles are available for private purchase or can be used freely in every country.
How these next-generation vehicles compare
The figures and plans below come from the manufacturers’ own product pages and announcements. They are not independent test results. “Availability” describes what the cited announcement or page establishes; it does not confirm current stock, completed deliveries, certification, or local permission to operate.

What is changing on the ground?
Segway’s electric-bike lineup: MYON, MUXI, XABER 300, XYBER and XAFARI
Segway featured these five e-bike names in its CES 2026 mobility lineup and also identified e-bike accessories. That makes the lineup the most tangible ground-vehicle example here, but the company page does not establish current inventory, prices, comparative test results, or retail availability through any particular marketplace. The model names alone are not enough to compare range, motor output, cargo capacity, or suitability for a specific rider.
Honda UNI-ONE: movement inside a destination
The UNI-ONE is a seated personal mobility device steered by shifting body weight, rather than a road vehicle for commuting between neighborhoods. Honda presents it for places such as airports, museums, malls, offices, and other facilities. Its announced Japanese corporate service contract bundles the device with a swappable battery, maintenance, and insurance; that offer is not evidence of a broadly available private-consumer vehicle. Honda’s cited speed and size numbers are criteria for Japan’s “small mobility vehicle” classification, not a promise of independently tested operating performance.

Could an autonomous car become a personally owned vehicle?
Tensor Robocar
Tensor announced the Robocar as a personally owned Level-4 autonomous vehicle and scheduled customer deliveries for the second half of 2026. These are Tensor’s description and delivery plan, not independent confirmation that deliveries occurred, that the vehicle has authorization in a particular jurisdiction, or that it is ready for consumers in every market. The practical distinction is important: an autonomy label does not by itself establish where a vehicle may operate or what human supervision local rules require.
Which flying vehicles are being developed?
PAL-V Liberty: a road-and-air concept
PAL-V describes its Liberty platform through a “FlyDrive” concept combining road and air travel, with professional use in its framing. The information cited here does not establish current certification, retail deliveries, price, or private-owner availability. A road-and-air design therefore belongs in a survey of emerging mobility, but it should not be mistaken for a car that can simply be driven to an airport and flown anywhere.
Jetson ONE: a personal electric aerial vehicle
Jetson markets the ONE as a personal electric aerial vehicle and publishes specifications and order-related information. Those are manufacturer claims; the information available here does not independently verify performance or safety, current order slots, or where an owner could legally fly it. Aviation permissions, pilot requirements, airspace restrictions, and local operating rules are separate from a manufacturer’s ability to accept orders.

Honda Hybrid eVTOL: an intercity aircraft program
Honda describes the Hybrid eVTOL as a lift-plus-cruise aircraft using a gas-turbine hybrid system. Honda’s stated range is a target that includes an IFR reserve assumption, and the company reports a full-scale technology demonstrator flight on April 1, 2026. Its stated configuration includes at least four passengers and one onboard pilot. Honda says technology validation is in progress; this is a developing aircraft program, not a personal car substitute available to buy.

EHang reported that an EH216-S completed a pilotless, human-carrying flight in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 10, 2026, under what the company described as Kazakhstan’s initial eVTOL regulatory framework. EHang characterized the project’s first phase as demonstration and tourist flights. That announcement supports describing a specific demonstration in a specific country; it does not show unrestricted self-piloted consumer travel or permission to operate elsewhere.
Volocopter VoloXPro: a two-seat multicopter for professional use
Volocopter announced the fully electric VoloXPro on April 22, 2026, positioning it for training and professional passenger operations. Its stated speed and maximum range are company specifications, not independently measured results. The company described market entry at the end of 2026 as a plan, which should not be read as confirmation that the vehicle entered service or became available to private buyers.

Eve eVTOL: a program progressing through flight testing
Eve Air Mobility said in July 2026 that its engineering prototype was in active flight testing. The company described transition evaluation and conforming prototypes as next steps toward certification. This is evidence of a development program, not a finished personal aircraft offered to consumers.

“Personal vehicle” can mean a privately owned e-bike, a facility-operated mobility device, a car that relies on automated driving, or an aircraft with a professional operator. Before making a purchase or travel decision, check the vehicle’s actual operating model and your local rules rather than relying on a broad category label.

- Where it can operate: distinguish public roads, controlled facilities, and aviation environments.
- Who controls it: determine whether the rider, an onboard pilot, an automated system, or a professional operator is responsible for movement.
- What a performance figure means: separate a target or manufacturer specification from an independently verified result, and note any assumptions included in the number.
- What stage it has reached: product lineup, announced sales offer, planned delivery, flight testing, demonstration, and certified service are not interchangeable milestones.
- Where and for whom it is offered: confirm country, customer type, contract terms, current availability, and local operating authorization.
On the evidence available, e-bikes are the clearest physical-product category in this group, while the aircraft examples range from demonstrations to development programs and announced plans. That does not establish that any particular e-bike model is currently in stock or right for a specific rider.
