It is a performance-oriented cruiser with touring cues—not a full touring motorcycle—and its low published seat height comes with a substantial 712-pound running-order weight. Here are the key specs, equipment changes, and fitment checks to understand before buying or choosing accessories.
1. It combines cruiser performance with touring cues
Harley-Davidson describes the Low Rider ST as a cruiser with an FXRT-inspired fairing, Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output engine, performance-tuned suspension, Heavy Breather intake, two-into-one exhaust, and USB-C charging. The 2024 model page describes the fairing as frame-mounted and the saddlebags as compact and removable. Those features suggest a bike designed to add wind protection and useful storage to a performance-oriented cruiser layout; they do not establish touring comfort or capability through independent testing.
2. The 2026 engine is rated at 114 hp and 128 ft-lb
Harley-Davidson’s US specifications list 114 hp at 5,000 rpm and 128 ft-lb of torque at 4,000 rpm for the 2026 model. These are manufacturer figures, not a comparative test. Without matching test methods and comparable motorcycles, they should not be used to make a direct performance ranking.
3. The 2025 model year brought major equipment changes
Harley-Davidson’s 2025 materials identify the Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output engine, revised rear suspension, two-into-one exhaust, selectable ride modes, four-inch display, and USB-C charging as updates. The 2026 page continues to list those features. Because equipment and specifications differ across model years, compare the exact year and installed equipment rather than assuming every Low Rider ST is configured alike.

4. The seat is low on paper, but the motorcycle is heavy
For the 2026 US model, Harley-Davidson lists a 27-inch laden seat height and 712 pounds in running order. A seat-height figure alone cannot tell you whether you can comfortably reach the ground or manage the bike at a stop: rider proportions, footwear, suspension response, and balance all matter. Sit on the specific motorcycle and assess low-speed handling before deciding it fits.
5. Saddlebags provide storage, with practical limits
Harley-Davidson lists two cubic feet of luggage capacity for the 2026 US model. The 2024 product page calls the saddlebags compact and removable. The volume figure does not tell you whether a particular helmet, laptop, or other item will fit; check the bags’ dimensions and opening against what you intend to carry.

6. Fuel capacity and economy do not guarantee a particular range
The 2026 US specifications list a five-US-gallon fuel capacity and estimated fuel economy of 47 mpg. Multiplying those figures gives a nominal 235 miles (5 × 47), but that is arithmetic based on the manufacturer’s estimate—not a tested range or a promise of usable distance between stops. Actual consumption and practical range can vary with conditions and riding.
7. Ride modes and electronic aids have defined roles
Harley-Davidson lists Road, Rain, and Sport modes, along with ABS, traction control, drag-torque slip control, and TPMS information for the 2026 model. These systems are intended to support braking, traction management, engine-braking behavior, and tire-pressure awareness. They do not eliminate loss-of-control or crash risk, and their presence is not a substitute for suitable speed, judgment, and road conditions.

8. Chassis dimensions are useful context, not riding impressions
The 2026 figures list a 63.6-inch wheelbase and a 31.3-degree lean angle per side. The owner manual lists 5.9 inches of road clearance. These measurements help describe the bike’s geometry, but they cannot establish how it feels in a turn or guarantee cornering clearance in real use.

Harley-Davidson’s US materials for 2024, 2025, and 2026 show changes in equipment and some specification details. The owner manual identifies the Low Rider ST as FXLRST. Before comparing listings or ordering parts, check the motorcycle’s VIN and model year, confirm its local-market specification, and verify installed features and fitment for that exact bike. The 2024 information cited here comes from a Harley-Davidson staging subdomain, so treat it as manufacturer material with that qualification.

10. Confirm accessory fitment for the exact configuration
The fairing, removable saddlebags, display, and model-specific controls make fitment worth checking before purchase. A part advertised for a Low Rider or another model year is not automatically compatible with an FXLRST. Use a seller’s year-and-model fitment listing or confirm compatibility with a Harley-Davidson dealer before ordering; the official materials cited here do not establish third-party accessory compatibility.
