The Toyota 86 and Scion FR-S are close relatives, so consider all three when searching local listings. Check whether the small back seat and cargo space meet your needs before you buy.

These are distinct years and configurations, not interchangeable examples. Compare the specific car’s equipment, condition, and price rather than assuming that any Mustang under your budget is the same proposition.
4. Chevrolet Camaro: for composed handling and engine choice

What about the Mazda Miata?
The Miata is a worthwhile alternative if you are open to a roadster, but it is not a conventional fixed-roof coupe. The RF version has a retractable hardtop, yet the car remains a two-seat roadster. Car and Driver’s guide describes the 2016-and-newer generation as light and engaging, with power ranging from 155 to 181 hp by model year. That is a year-dependent range, not one output for every car.
Inspect the car before you commit
A well-priced coupe can become an expensive purchase if it has hidden damage, neglected maintenance, or poorly installed modifications. Use the same basic checks for every model, then seek specialist advice if the car’s condition or history raises questions.
